I have no idea whether people are interested in anime, but I just finished watching all the episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion. My YM watched these when he was a teen and now I know why his head is on so straight! Very superficially, this is a story of good versus evil and man's struggle to understand and even control God. Very psychological; very introspective and I certainly saw myself in several of the characters. There are 26 episodes (each 22 minutes long) so its taken me a few weeks to finally get through it. Tonight we watched the last four episodes together, although 1200 miles apart. The final two episodes center on acceptance of oneself, so the fact that I missed therapy this week is no biggy! Gotta love INSTRUMENTATION! :)
For those with cable, the series is running on CartoonNetwork.

Hi Rozie!
My son had this box set on his Christmas list but I was unable to find it in the stores. I think I'll buy it for him online (he's been avoiding watching them on CartoonNetwork because he wants to start at the beginning!). Glad to hear its a good series :)

A few disclaimers before you get yourself into something you wish you hadn't. It is definitely aimed at a mature audience (older teenager), contains sexual references and such. It is also very Biblically based (book of Revelations); was very controversial when it was originally released. Some people might take offense. Personally I think it is a marvelous tool for discussing some pretty important life issues.
