Gosh, I had a satisfied Warm and Fuzzy feeling at the end of the day yesterday. Why? Well, just a few things....

* I spoke with Loucine on the phone for the first time yesterday!!! Yep, just dialed her up and she picked up the phone.

Wow!! My goodness, her voice is delightfully soft and feminine with a charming European/French accent. She speaks English clear as day and is nice to chat with. We talked about the miracle of Agelesslove and about the craziness of life and love.

At one point, her little boy interrupted, and then I could hear her talking to him in French really fast. It was soooo cute. :) It was really quite delightful. I was a bit sad to say "Goodbye."

* I had a nice online chat with Cherubino. We are both future lawyers; she's already in school, and I'm still waiting for an acceptance letter. She was very kind, and wanted to check on me and see how things were going. I griped a little about an obstacle; she was sympathetic.

* I went to the local dump to get rid of some refuse, including an old crappy workbench. I had the pickup backed up to the giant trash container, and while I was next to the tailgate, I paused for a moment to look at the junk and see how to best move it out....

And the guy parked next to me in his own pickup saw me and said "Need a hand with that?" I thanked him and told him no. He thought I might be in a jam and need help with a big workbench.

I call that "West Coast love." Out here, it's fairly normal for perfect strangers to offer unsolicited help to one another. Hold swinging doors open at the supermarket.... pause in traffic to let people pull out of driveways and cross to the far side of the road.... That kinda thing. Nice! Makes your community a great place to live in.

So, it was a nice "Warm & Fuzzy" day. How about y'all? Did you have any nice stuff happen to you? Some "Good Karma" stuff?

I'm sorry, kindanice. Maybe today will be a better, brighter one! Hey, it's Friday, right?? ;)

Ohhhh, I sure hope it's a better brighter one. I need some "Good Karma" today.

I am waiting on my acceptance letter for law school too Harrison. Nothing like a little nerves and anticipation to start the year off right. I am glad your day went well. Mine is starting out great. First I woke up breathing and I have access to a computer to check in at this sight. My home system committed suicide.

I try to look at the day with an eager tone. I call them my 'rose colored glasses'. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. Oh well, enjoy. :D

Always nice to talk with good friends by phone. Sorry, no good karma here! Had a 12 hour hell day yesterday, and another one due today. Maybe the weekend will be nice! :)

I had a warm fuzzy this morning when I dropped my son off at school. I try desperately to teach him manners and consideration for others, but he's 11 and it doesn't always seem like he listens to me. I get the rolleyes alot these days.

Anyway, I dropped him off and as I was pulling away I glanced in my rearview mirror. One of the teachers was walking up to the door behind him, and when he noticed she was there, he stepped aside and held the door open for her! She looked surprised and very pleased. Mind you, he had no idea I was still there and watching him, so he did this of his own accord. I was soooo proud of my little guy! Maybe he listens after all and is just too "cool" to admit it to me! :)

That's awesome, Star!

I don't blame you for getting a nice "Warm & Fuzzy" from that one. I would too if it were my kid.

Well-mannered children are increasingly rare these days when waaay too many of the parents themselves are in need of instruction.

I'll bet that schoolteacher got a HUGE "Warm & Fuzzy," too. :D

Oh Harrison, I enjoyed so much talking to you yesterday. Hey gang, he sounds GREAT!!! he has a mellow and deep voice :)

I had an awful morning, had to wait in line for about 2 hours in an administrative office only to find out that I'm in deeper poop than I thought. I am simply FLAT BROKE !!

But..... I had a great afternoon. A VERY challenging photographic project that I have been working on with children for the past 3 months not only has been approved but it was highly, major-ly, WOW-ly (nevermind the English) applauded and appreciated.
On Monday the frames will be ordered and the exhibition will be inaugurated on the 27th of this month in the presence of the Mayor of the town (a freaking right-wing thug) .

Now I'm flat after all the emontions and ready to pick up my son, and the usual, homework, piano, bath dinner, etcetera, etcetera......
