.... I find myself reflecting back on the past year. Now a month into 2006, I marvel at how much my relationship with my lady has grown and matured. Now beginning our third year as a couple, I have witnessed a myriad of changes in how we relate, all of them positive. We've come though some disagreements, been through some sad times and some difficult times due to issues outside of our relationship, especially towards the beginning of last year. And yet, here we are, stronger than we were a bit over two years ago.
Discussions of long term plans are now being had in more concrete terms, and I am finally seeing the light at the end of the financial tunnel (yea). I started a new job as an admin assistant last September, so money has improved and I now have the promise of advancement that I never had before (goodbye, retail!). Just as some difficult and trying circumstances befell us both last January, this January has been the opposite.
Now, I find myself looking ahead, anticipating the comming year and preparing to take steps to solidify my professional life even more and to plan for the future on a more concrete and proactive level. And while I don't anticipate an "Ageless wedding" for she and I this year, it seems a lot closer now than it did two years, or even a year ago.
So, while New year's eve hase come an gone, I will still raise my champagne glass to my lady, who has been everything that I ever could have wanted and more than I could have imagined, who has been my friend and soulmate. And to all of you here at Ageless. I think very fondly of my friends here, who for the past two years, have given me emotional support, shared their triumphs and travails, and told stories that have made me laugh on an otherwise lousy day.
Thank you all, and I look forward to another Ageless year!!!
