personal insight while choosing Valentine card

I had quite the time yesterday choosing a Valentine card for my YM. It is our 1st celebration. I learned a lot about myself. The old me would have picked the mushiest co dependent card on the rack. The new me just isn't interested in lines like " You complete me" "Love of my life" etc. All these type of cards I used to buy ended up a lie anyway with divorce as the end result. I ended up picking a really cute comical card. This is the first love relationship where I havent lost myself in and I must say it just may be the healthiest one I have ever had.
Gee I must be growing up! :)

What do you guys think, would it be permissible to buy a Valentine's Day card, sign it "Your secret admirer" and give it to yourself? :D

LOL
When I was a teenager, I did sent me flowers once,
and signed as secret admirer.
Just because my older brother was picking on me, said nobody LUVS me. He kind figure it out though. lol We do silly things.

Not enough. Better to write an entire love letter to one's self and blatantly sign it "Love, Me"!

Sometimes finding the perfect card (birthday, Christmas, Valentine's day) for my sweetheart can be a daunting task. Usually, I'll end up choosing two to give to him: one humorous and one sentimental. :)

I do the same thing - usually buy more than one.

I also have taken to buying really cool cards that are blank inside so that I can write my own personal love note.

That's what most of my letters overseas to my guy are, blank cards. I wish I had scanned the last one to show you :P It has a cat "laughing" hysterically at a guinea pig in a teapot haha

Maybe I can find it online....and the valentine card too was cute with intertwining cat tails in a popup card.

EDIT: Found a pic of the card, but it isn't a good pic. The glitter doesn't show up and the cats look crinkled. On the one I sent I wrote a bit on the "floor" and put a message on the back side of the card.

I wish I could find the cat and piggy--haha--it was such an amazing photo!

Wow, you guys really love yourselves! Thanks for the great ideas. I think I will stop at See's Candies on the way home and buy myself a BIG box!

Except that I still have this stupid canker sore, so wouldn't be able to enjoy it much. It is a good thing that I DON'T have a Valentine this year. The kisses might have hurt.
