My sweetie is out of town until next week :( and I have 3 tests at school this week, so I figured it would be rather uneventful.

He left a card for me to find this morning and it was really sweet -- a suprise even....I definitely didn't expect it. We are going to spend time together next week sometime...

I miss him :(

IYE, glad to see you're back!

Well, we did our Valentines last week since he's away right now.

I've got a vase with a dozen beautiful roses and box of the best handmade local chocolates - one chocolate for every day he's gone. And a really sweet card.

I got a voice mail from him earlier today too, but I missed his call....darn meetings all day.

Okay IYE...your presents rock! I can't stop calling you IYE, so you better just get used to that!

My b/f got me a dozen red roses with little white carnations, and his Mom brought me a heart-shaped basket with a dozen home-made chocolate cupcakes with white icing and little red sprinkles. Woo hoo! She also brought me this jar of cream cheese with candied jalapeno stuff we are going to have to get the recipe for. It's sweet and burns your tongue off at the same time.... ;)

Okay, I am not a huge Valentine's Day freak.

We each gave the other chocolates and a card. Nice and simple. :) I did receive what are called "Chocolate truffles." Pretty tasty.

Nothing thank God. I've never liked VD and he knows it...he doesn't care for it either. So we treated it like we do every other day - we were as mushy and romantic as we always are.

yippie, glad you are back. always love your threads. we just went to build a bear too back in january. my youngest built a bear this time. i think she spent $40 or so on her little bear. but you could easily spend over $100...or way more. Not me tho, i am much to frugal for that. hehe. i didnt recommend my daughter doing it but she had her own money and wanted to. so we took her. her bear turned out cute and it was fun. ;)

I'm not a huge Valentine's freak, but I do get cards and a couple of little goodies for my babies.

What I got:

~A beautiful card from my parents.
~Lots of hugs and kisses from my babies.
~THREE international phone calls from my YM. One on his Valentine's Day, which is the day before ours due to time difference. One that straddled the holiday for both of us and one on our February 14th. Each more than an hour in length. *grins*
~Of course he also bought me a vintage/retro inpsired 'article of clothing' that will be hand made and will take 4-6 weeks to arrive.

The phone calls may not mean a lot to most folks, but we try to keep phone calls to a minimum due to the cost and it turns out to be maybe once a week. So....three phone calls in less than 24 hours rocked! :D

My loving hubby got me this custom hand drawn portrait of my little "Daisy". He got me roses and chocolates to, but this drawing just blew me away. I cried because I could'nt believe he took the time to take new pics of daisy and send them and set it all up! I will treasure this forever!!

Tarantula, that is a beautiful puppy! Would love to have a little dog like that, maybe when I finally settle down to one place. Thanks for the website. Would like to have a drawing of my kitty. She is a beauty, Siamese, with big blue eyes. :)

Wow, that is a really cool drawing!!!!

Tim and I went out for a very decadent dinner: steak for me, prime rib for him, and a chocolate dessert that can only be described as sinful!

He made me a really sweet card with a hand drawn picture of the two of us and gave me a beautiful white gold heart shaped necklace with my birthstone in it.

I gave him a sword-cross necklace (it's a really cool looking cross made from a sword to symbolize the sword of the Spirit). It served the dual purpose of celebrating Valentine's Day plus his recent conversion to Christianity; I also got him a picture that says, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord"
