Worth seen! great movie and acting.

I havent seen this one yet. But we want to. We like Johnny and June too. Brownbear and I went to their (Johnny and Junes) home in Jamaica while we were there. It was somethin'. :cool:

I look forward to this movie, too, Anjiana. Anyone notice the movie was not nominated at all? The movies nominated this year are all dark and/or violent. Good ole Hollywood, still ignoring what the majority want to see. They do have their agenda to get out first and foremost. I look for the backlash with glee... :p

my boyfriend and i watched it night before last....we were SO ready for it to be over with. and laughed through most of it because it was so silly!

i LOVE johnny cash, grew up on his music. i love phoenix and what's-her-name.....this movie, stunk.

I think March 3rd? I will try to watch, too, but becomes harder and harder to watch, as I SO disagree with their selections anymore. :(

I watched it last night and enjoyed it thorougly. I thought Joaquin did a fabulous job, but then he does a great job in everything he does. :)

I really didn't see the big deal about Reese Witherspoon's performance, though. Seemed average to me.

But, overall, I really enjoyed getting to know the history behind the man that I grew up watching so much of on tv. I never knew that about his brother, but can imagine how that could have affected his life. :(

Yes, I meant the MOVIE itself. I haven't yet seen it, maybe it isn't worthy of an Oscar, don't know. I do know the ones put up this year are mediocre. Yes, they are on tonight! I just was looking at a website the other day which said March 3, so maybe looked at it wrong, or that site made a typo.

I just saw this movie last weekend and loved it -- and I didn't know much of anything about Johnny Cash beforehand. It definitely got me more interested in listening to his music!
