saw transamerica, actually saw brokeback again also, second time really felt the sadness of this movie... anyway back to transamerica, good movie, about a man who is going for final surgery to complete surgery to become a woman and along the way finds out he fathered a son in his one hetero relationship.

actually much much lighter than brokeback yet the theme is serious and the story line great, i would highly recommend the movie and i left the theater feeling hope for the characters as in brokeback all i felt again was great sadness.

anyway, transamerica has no sex scenes or anything vulgar but a great story. i would recommend it highly.

I liked this movie a lot too Kitty. Still can't say I was impressed with Brokeback, when I finally saw it, I think there was much a do about little, but that's just my opinion. Transamerica was a much broader storyline that didn't have so much to do with tolerance as it did a father and son accepting one another on common ground, of which they had close to none. It was an excellent movie.
