I have been searching for someone sweet, kind and caring, I met a guy in December whom I had been talking to online since last year, he flew to see me, a 7 hour flight for him as he lives in British Columbia Canada, a great guy, but..., unfortunately the distance makes dating tough and difficult to maintain a LDR, so I was just about ready to give up hope on any relationship at all, figured I'd just stay by myself when this other guy clicked on me, I told him I had a bf at the moment which I did at the time and that we could just be online friends, that is really all I expected to happen, I had no other expectations. Then my other bf went back home and we decided to just be friends. Now this new friend wanted to visit me, I figured, what the hey, why not, at least I'll have a new friend, turns out he is a great guy, sweet and kind, very caring, he visits me every weekend, brings me flowers all the time, treats me really well. He is 37, I am 54, 17 year age difference, but it is like we are the same age. He is a family boy, cares a great deal for his family, I look for that in a potential mate. We are taking things very slowly, but are working towards a goal eventually of matriomony, maybe 1 or 2 years down the road, I want to make sure it is the right thing to do. I was seriously contemplating just staying single since I have a condo now and I love being independent, but....having someone by your side to support you in your beliefs and someone to nurture just feels right at the moment, so...I'll see where this goes. :)

Good for you! I'm glad you found someone closer than the LDR. Long distance relationships are so hard! I was in one for 8 years and I finally couldn't take the once a month visits anymore, and we had a very heartbreaking ending.
However, I'm happily married to a man 18 years younger---a challenge for sure, but he keeps me on my toes!

He sounds like a good guy for you. Keep us posted.

susie I will keep you posted. So far so good. He is coming over this Wednesday since I am no longer gainfully employed. My employer did not like that I was out with the flu for a week, decided to terminate me. I have a job interview tomorrow though even though I am still sick, I am going for it, a sales position. Hope I get it. Then my bf will be back Saturday to spend more time with me. He lives the next state from me, but it's only an hours drive for him, not too bad, is dueable. His family is looking forward to meeting me so I guess I have their seal of approval lol. They think I am 47 lol, he did not want to shock them right away lol. He will break it to them eventually about my real age, I am 54 lol. He is feeling the waters right now lol.

Glad to hear your relationship is going so well, the younger guys are great aren't they? They really do appreciate an older woman, are very loving towards them. I don't think I would ever date anyone my age anymore, even if I wasn't dating my bf, been there done that, it just wasn't working for me.
