kindanice 03-08-2006, 03:00 PM He has been perfectly trained for a few months. Now all of the sudden he has started peeing IN HIS CRATE and pooping and peeing on the carpets again. With the added thing of peeing on my couch now. What in the world has happened????? He will go out and do nothing. I don't care if you stay out half an hour. Then come in and......I COULD SCREAM!!!!!!
SoraNoYume 03-08-2006, 03:17 PM Omg!!1 I have one like that too!!
So........yesterday was his first day in the crate...........
he did not poo or pee in his crate but peed on himself when my daughter came home to take him out.......
what she didn't see until I got home was..........
he had somehouse manuevered the plastic crate tray under him to slide out.....and proceeded to dig a hole into my carpet through the crate floor.......
I don't know what to do!! He poos when he comes in..........and he pees on Jessica's comforter and on the edge of the couch.......
I'm really ready to kill him and bury him out back...........lol...........(of course I wouldn't but............I'm frustrated)!
so.......I'm making an appointment to have his puppy berries removed, this may calm him down some...........
he's the sweetest puppy.........he loves all his 10 cat brothers and sisters.......they share everything with each other.......they play all the time.........he even thinks he should have sex with one of the cats........lol
I'm just at wits end too............I feel for you girl!!!
If they only weren't so cute and loving!!!
Sora
kindanice 03-08-2006, 03:44 PM he dug into your carpet....YIKES
My little monster had his surgery a few months back and it seemed to calm him quite a bit......until now. Hopefully he will return to his nice state.
whiterose 03-08-2006, 03:44 PM Is it possible that he has a bladder infection? I don't know much about dogs, but I know that cats will begin doing things like this when they have bladder infections. Or, maybe he's upset about some other change in his life/diet, etc.?
kindanice 03-08-2006, 03:46 PM I dunno, maybe I should have him checked out. I never thought of that. I also have been packing and there are a lot of boxes sitting around. Do you think that would upset him. I just figured he turned bad on me...hehe. But maybe he is sick or upset. :o
whiterose 03-08-2006, 03:51 PM It's always possible he is sick, but if his routine is upset, that may also have contributed, too. At least, that's what happens with my cats. I have one that just HATES his routine to be interfered with and any little thing makes him do stuff like this. But, I think it's always best to rule out any health related problems first.
kindanice 03-08-2006, 04:21 PM Thanks Whiterose. I wouldn't have thought of that.
CabinFever 03-08-2006, 09:19 PM I agree with Whiterose....both sickness or changes around home could cause it.
Kindanice, didn't he have a kidney infection a while ago or am I confused? If he was peeing etc inside before, then there could still be a bit of a smell there that he's picking up....and that's a signal to use that spot again. I've had this problem with my old dog.
Good luck with it - sounds frustrating - for both you and Sora too!
One way to deal with this is to reset their routine....making it so they don't have an opportunity to pee inside, but this means a big time committment that most of can't do - need to walk them for LONG walks several times a day so that there is no chance they can go inside.

Yep, you are correct. But he's not peeing in the same spots. He's peeing everywhere...even on the furniture...and pooping everywhere now!
It is frustrating. Sometimes he just looks at you and stands there and pees and poops  I will try to weed out problems and see. The LONG walk thing several times a day just isn't an option unfortunately :(

He is usually running around so it's hard to snap a decent pic. He is VERY hyper.
Lillyfairie 03-12-2006, 11:21 PM Good luck kindanice, I've just given up on mine.
I have an Italian Greyhound that I hate. It's young and I am at a point where I think I'm going to give it away and eat the $$$$$$$$$$$$ I paid for the damn thing. It's a spaz and retard and it stole a turkey sand. out of my garbage and drug it across the house, mustard and all!! If anyone knows a site I could sell it on that's reputable, it's cute and AKC registered! I just honestly don't have the time or patience for it.
Thanks for letting me vent!
Science Goddess 03-24-2006, 10:55 AM Kindanice, I hope your little monster is okay. Sounds to me like a kidney or bladder thingy. My cat did the same thing when her kidneys started quitting on her.

Thanks...hes all good now. I think the second episode was due to a change in his routine. I started packing and all the turmoil upset him I believe. Because he is over it now. The little beanie..... :)
