Well I figured I'd introduce myself since Im new.. read a bunch of posts last night but didnt get around to posting until today.
I'm 28 (29 in may) and am in a ldr with an 18 (will be 19 in june lol) year old guy.
We met on WoW (world of warcraft) and Im currently in the process of getting a divorce from my husband. I have 2 kids, 3 and 1 (4 and 2 in july). Lotta summer birthdays there lol.
Im a long time gamer girl and used to playing with younger guys but something just clicked amazingly well with this one. What started as harmless flirting ingame and over ventrilo (dunno if you guys know what that is but it's kinda like a big chatroom only everyone has mics and you can hear everyone talking.. great for coodinating things in games) then slid into our own private channel in ventrilo and sending pictures.
At first I thought there's no way this will get serious...we're 10 years apart and I've got 2 kids. But love doesnt seem to care about those things sometimes, eh?
He lives in michigan and I live in alabama, not a tiny drive but Ive read some of your posts and know that's not even that bad for distance.
I found myself falling head over heels and know he feels the same way, we have so many things in common and even though we have an age gap it seems to just make things interesting. He makes me feel so much younger and alive... like the me that kinda got eaten by being a mommy and a frustrated wife gets to come out and be fun and sexy... if that makes sense.
Im going to visit him at the end of may for the first time, kinda nervous cause Ive had two kids so I dont have that 18y/o body anymore but he seems to think Im extremely sexy. Isnt that just the best feeling!
Anyway, I was still very reserved about how far we could actually go with this and so I decided to surf the internet to see if there were other ow/ym out there with advice. I stumbled into here and was amazed, refreshed and extremely thrilled to find just what I was looking for.
Ive read things that make me think about the risks and pitfalls but also so many stories about how love can win out and even with an age difference of 10 years I could maybe get my cake and eat it too.
He's totally in love with me but I know as the one with more experience in love I've gotta set the right pace and not allow myself to jump into marrying again until I know it's right.
I'm so glad I found you all, look forward to reading and posting here a lot.
