has spring really sprung??

It is supposed to be 60 + here for the next 3 days I am so happy :D Maybe winter is finally gone. My OM just got a new mustang convertible too, i guess he picked a good week for cruising :)

I WISH! I was in the Bay Area and at the coast this weekend, looking at the little flowers starting to bloom on the trees, and feeling spring in the air.

Here at home, we got another foot of snow yesterday! No greenery in sight here yet. :(

Gosh, I sure hope so. I REALLY (I don't think I could emphasize it enough) don't want to buy another tank of propane.

If LA can ever really be said to have a winter, we're still in it. On the cool side, showers coming through from time to time, and no warm weather forecast yet. I'm a fan of 80+ degrees, so I'm looking forward to summer!

I was just thinking that! This weekend was the first time ever that it felt like spring minus the pollen, it was amazing!! :D Cruised around in the OM's new convertible all weekend. Now back to school work and thunderstorms in the forecast for the next 3 days, it was nice while it lasted.

I am so creeped out right now. The forecast for today was 49 and cloudy, however about an hour ago huge snow flakes started falling and blizzard like winds and it still hasn't stopped. Everyone is confused this was not in the forecast. And I called my friend a few towns away and they have no snow, but bad thunderstorms.

*sigh* Spring really is finally here in Tahoe.

I came home last night after being gone for a few days. When I stepped out of my Jeep, I was immediately hit by the sweet smell of the pine trees that only comes when the weather is warm.

I have a large Jeffrey pine in my backyard. Jeffreys are very similar in appearance to Ponderosas. How to tell the difference? Stick your nose right up to the cracks in the surface bark and take a good whiff. A Jeffrey smells like vanilla creme soda. It is one of my favorite smells in the entire world. Try it. You'll be hooked.

Now imagine waking up in the morning just as the air has started to warm, stepping outside in a neighborhood full of Jeffreys, and the morning air smells like...vanilla creme soda.

Life is schweet!
