Chatroom, What's Wrong?

What's wrong with chatroom?....

bad smell? bugs? :o

Why interesting ageless members no longer come to this watering hole in droves ?

I drop in every once in a while. There's never anyone there anymore.

Hmm I will have to find out if I can get java downloaded onto my Mac..then I believe I will be able to get in there :) ...ADDED EDIT: I tried it...but it didn't work...oh well..guess it wasn't meant to be...hehe

The way to get people chatting is:
A) Open up two internet windows.
B) Enter the chatroom in one window.
C) Post on the other window that you are ready willing and able to chat, and chat you shall if only someone will chat with you.
D) Browse the boards while you wait for someone to show up. If you run out of posts to read, go ahead and go somewhere else but leave the chatroom window open.
E) Tolerate the arkwardness of just two people in the chatroom trying to figure out what to say to each other.
F) Look on in amazement as you see the people flock in.
G) Chat yourself silly.
H) After everyone in that group has left, hang out a while longer, and a whole new group will come in!
I) Try to think of how you will explain why you are still there to people that have chatted, gone to bed, gone to work, and come back in.

Aram, are you hearing anything I'm saying? The REASON the chatroom is empty is because everyone goes in, sees no one there, and leaves. Somebody HAS to stay in there and wait for others and it really helps to post that you're in there - ready, willing, and able to chat.

The "silent troll" may be someone who's following my instructions and waiting for others to join them, but forgets! (Raises hand :o ) LOL We need a "bing" button in there!

Yup, I would suggest when you feel like chatting you put up a post asking if people want to chat...

I usually do that, and the room will fill up pretty quickly, especially on the weekends. Works for me! I dunno with as many members as we have why the place isn't busier ALL the time...
