I just need to Brag about my baby boy!! He's just about 21 months old now and he's so incredibly SMART.... I mean he's been counting to 10 since he was 14 months old.. Now he counts to 20... He says the whole alphabet and sings the song.. He sings all kinds of songs and his word bank is Incredible.. I can't even count how many words and phrases he says... He does speak in phrases now it's so cool!!
If you ask him how old he is he'll say "One"
If you ask him who the President is he says "Bush"
Its so funny
SO how about everyone else.. who else wants to brag about their children!!

It's called good parenting! Pat yourself on the back too. My son amazes me everyday. I love calling him when I am at work and we carry on a conversation for a few minutes. (My son is 2)

Mer congrats!!! and since u r asking for bragging, that I shall do!! jajajaja
My daughter is 12 yrs old and in 7 th grade. BTW she did not start talking much until she was 3.5 yrs old and even potty trained, worried indeed, but the pediatrician told me some kids are just like that, and not to worry, so I did not...
Back to now and my kid. She was invited by Duke University Talent Program to take the S.A.T. test, keep in mind usually 11th -12th graders take that test. She was asked to do so because she was in the top 5% of the nation's 7th graders. She took the Texas mandatory TASK exams and her scores were so high that I believe that is how Duke U. found her. She is also a straight A student in advanced courses...
Well she took the S.A.T. and she placed better than 57% in math of graduating H.S. seniors for 2005 and 47% in English. 70,000.00 7th graders through out the nation took the test, and my kid was above 24 percentile. I believe that places her in the top 2% of 7th graders in the country.
Yes, I am a proud mama and bragging indeed! Thank you for letting me share...
My kid goes to public school but when she was in private Catholic school, 4 yrs ago, my dear ex-husband wrote me a letter (I know it was the present wife who wrote it but he signed it) telling me that our kid besides being a brat, she had a learning disability and I should have her examed for mental retardation! Imagine that! My ex is a surgeon.
Her father (my ex-husband) is practically non-existence in my kid's life, so somehow as a single parent I must be doing something right for my kid, but according to my ex, my kid has a learning disability and she is so smart. Of course he does not know his "dumb' kid is going to get an award from Duke U. in June. I should rub it on his face, but then that is not my style.
After Duke's notice of her results, she wanted to do an aerospace engineering program in July in Kansas through Duke University but I just found out she needs to be in 8th grade to even apply. So next year in the summer I guess we will be going to Kansas!
I think I just over did the bragging! jajajajajajaja
PS She just got invited to be in the National Junior Honor Society for next year.
