World's Deadliest Catch

I didn't see a thread on this show....

But it anyone else hooked on this show? It's on the Discovery Channel and follows various fishing boats as they sail the Bering Sea to try to catch Alaskan King Crab. Because of the sea conditions, the weather and the strenuous work they do....it is probably the world's most dangerous job.

Is anyone else addicted to this show? The previews for next week's show are pretty interesting...as it looks like some grim events may take place.

Actually, thankfully, no...that stuff was nowhere near here. It's over on the other side of the state...I just read they arrested the Grandson.

I haven't seen this particular show, but have seen other documentaries about this dangerous job....I agree it is the most dangerous in the world....I don't ever complain about the price of crab legs after seeing the show.

Oh my God. I haven't had the tv on all day. I looked this up on the net and the stories I found made me bawl.

Okay...(don't read if you don't want to be spoiled by this past Tuesday's show)








So last week they finished up the King Crab season. Is it any shock that Sig Hansen and the NorthWestern were top dogs again??

This past Tuesday we've moved onto the Opilio Crab season and holy crap! The weather! Foot thick ice layering on things...funny seeing Rick, captain of the Maverick get all steamed when he was having trouble pulling out of harbor.

I'm interested to see what Sig's future holds since he hasn't even gone back to Dutch Harbor to get his gear...still out fishing...hasn't even started the crab fishing yet. Oh, and I was somewhat surprised by Blake Painter not returning to the Maverick. I knew he was pissed when Rick didn't turn over the wheel house to him, but so mad that he didn't come back onboard??!!? Cripe!

I've been wanting to watch the show. What time and day does it come on Dan?

The way they've been running it Kat...the previous week's episode comes on Discovery at 8 PM est. time...and a new episode comes on at 9.
