Drug Testing

I have a silly question but I just want to double check

I am starting a new job shortly and have to take a drug test. I don't do any recreational drugs. But I do have quite a few prescriptions that I take. One of them is a appetite suppresant (tenuate) and I want to make sure I don't fail the drug test because of that. I mean if I have a DR. prescription doesn't that mean it was prescribed so its not street drugs? I am so worried about this test. Also I went to the emergency room because I was having what ended up to be anxiety attacks and they had me take 2 Xanex in there and I looked that up also and that was considered a downer??

You shouldn't worry. Just tell the doctor about your prescriptions and you will be fine. That information is confidential and should NOT be passed on to your employer.

Also drug tests are VERY specialized now days and usually pickup specifically the named drug, i.e. Crystal Meth, Cannabis etc.

So unless you have smoked marijuana in the past 30 days, you probably have nothing to worry about. :)
