I am so excited! My granddaughter who is 4, gets to attend the ONE public elementary school here that is solely Montessori oriented.

She will be in Pre-Kindergarten. They combine the grades and let the older ones help the younger ones. So the Pre-K and Kindergarten are together. The hours are from 8:30 to 3:30, starting August 14th. It goes to the 6th grade.

The school is also part of the magnet schools here in Wichita Falls. Their curriculum is dedicated to plants and animals. They are connected to a beautiful park with a river and a winding trail!

This is such a great opportunity for her and next year little Aiden!

Has anyone else had their kids in a Montessori school? :) Information (http://www.montessori.org/?defaultarticle=&defaultnode=162&layout=29&pagefunction=Load%20Layout&formfields%5Bnewnode%5D=162&PHPSESSID=d3f3f07fc73fd14cfc08135ac5e222a9#multiye aragegroup)

i WISH I can send my son to Montassouri.. It's way to expensive for me :( My dad said he may finance it for us but who knows....

My cousin is a teacher for one.. It's a GREAT school.....

One of my friends went to one when she was little. It was a great experience for her. She ahead of most of our classmates who went through regular elementary.
