Morgellons Disease

Mysterious disease, Morgellons disease, is noted in California, Texas, and Florida. Disease is associated with a skin disorder and other symptoms.

This disease was mentioned in XVI century and later described by English doctor in 1935.

I read an article in some medical writeup about this. Evidently high mortality rate and unknown etiology, thought possibly to be parasitic? The strange thing is that "filaments" extrude from the skin. Also several suicides from this disease due to the horror and weirdness of the skin manifestations. :eek:

Holy Moley, this freaked me out. And then when you keep searching and wind up on the conspiracy theory websites about Martians and stuff, it gets even wierder.

I think as far as bad diseases, this has got to be one of the worst. My daughter has a severe bug paranoia, this would probably do her in.
