For anyone wondering how to make this work, whether your an OW/YM couple or an OM/YW pair... it applies.

Good luck!

Great post, Kelley! I don't know how many times I used to say, "...but I look younger..." as if it even mattered! I don't even bother with concerns like that anymore.

This hit home with me, because just this morning, a good friend's mother had said to her, "Why is Robin with Polly? I mean, come on, she's 43, and he's just soooo cute! I could see him jumping on a 25-year-old in a heartbeat!" This woman knows NOTHING about Robin, saw him once, and had the audacity to make that comment, which was extremely hurtful to me. I told my friend to tell her that Robin only dates older women, always has, and always will, according to him. When we were broken up, he was with other older women.

I asked him today if he really was turned on by me or if I looked like an "old bag" to him. He stared at me with those beautiful green eyes, and said, "How in the world did you ever come up with that thought? Has there EVER been a time when I wasn't instantly turned on by you??? You are BEAUTIFUL!" Whether I really am or not is irrelevant, I am in HIS eyes, apparently, and my friend's mom can stick her opinions where the sun doesn't shine!

As for tighter skin, be careful what you wish for. I have Scleroderma. My skin will get tighter (actually harden) but not in a good way! My doctor did say I may always look younger in the face though! A "poor woman's" face lift! :D

I think the key thing is to ENJOY what you have. How many couples really and truly are thrilled with their partner? I think it's extremely special to have that connection, never mind what two people's physical differences may be.

Thanks, guys! I've been really buckling down and working on some writing; a few friends are coaxing me into finally getting serious about that novel I've had floating around in my head so I thought that working on a few articles for print would be a good way to warm up and get back in writing shape

You've all encouraged me and I truly appreciate it! :)
