I freakin' BIFFED it on my bike this evening. And I can't even say I was on a mountain bike trail! I was on my way home from the beach and decided to stop at the grocery store. I caught the edge of a curb in the grocery store parking lot, and biffed it right onto the asphalt. :o Luckily, no road rash but I basically fell on top of my bike and I'm already seeing nasty bruises on both legs.

Anyone have any super miracle bruise cures??

Grrrr....

awwwwww Gingin, not again :(

I had told you before, "arnica montana", you'll find the cream at a health food store. If you ever find the homeopathic grains at a pharmacy, buy some and keep for emergencies. You have to take some as soon after you fall as possible. It also helps later. But go get some cream FAST.

edit: the cream is called "arnican". maybe different name in the US

On one of pasients I work with hits herself a lot inflicting a lot lot of bruises on herself, sometimes even in her face :(
We use a cream from the pharmacy called Hirudoid that removes the bruise in half the time. This cream is prescription-free. I'm sure you can find something simular to that in the US too ;)

*sigh* Yeah, again...My middle name sure ain't Grace!

That's right...I remember now! Thanks, sweets. I can get the homeopathic grains at the health food store. I guess I'll be heading over there when it opens.

JT, I'll look up the Hirudoid cream. Thanks!

*laugh* I ALMOST rode my bike. Weekends up here, the roads are pretty jammed with tourist traffic so a bike is the BEST way to get around...as long as you're not flyin' over your handlebars!

Aline, I picked up both the homeopathic (internal) and topical versions of arnica today. And I'm upping my Vit C intake (which has been below-par lately) and making sure to take my multi-vitamins more regularly.

Trace, thanks for the well-wishing words about not actually getting hurt!
