Hey, Amina!Chatterbox 08-12-2006, 02:59 AM How's married life treating you? Amina 08-12-2006, 03:07 AM Wow....I feel like my YEAR has been made by having my name in the title of a thread!!! How utterly exciting for a total dork like me!!! Yay....*cartwheel*... Married life is lovely :D ....I just arrived back in the USA last night, so yes..that means I was flying from Cairo to Milan, Milan to New York on the very day that all hell broke loose...I was still in the airport at midnight for a flight that was scheduled to land at 6 PM..my poor Mama was waiting FOREVER and was so worried about me...and I had an utterly traumatizing and terrifying experience with "border patrol"...although I was literally one of the ONLY Americans on the flight I was also the ONLY person they stopped from my flight...surprisingly enough I was also the only Muslim, go figure...my heart hurts and I'm losing all faith in humanity... On a lighter note, my husband is fabulous..he's back in Saudi now and we will meet again in Cairo in October, God willing..and my Mama will come too to meet the whole gang and have a vacation...then I will move to Saudi with my husband because that is where his job is right now...the only reason I'm not with him now is because getting a residential visa takes lots of time and hoop jumping for Saudi and this gives me a chance to spend time with my family before I am REALLY gone...*sniff*...nothing great comes with out sacrifice...but my husband is awesome, his family is awesome, and Egypt is awesome... Thanks for asking Chatter!!! I still can't believe I'm married...some how I feel like I'm playing grown up or something...:p *Hugs* ~A. marcy 08-12-2006, 08:21 AM ...nothing great comes with out sacrifice... Absolutely true!! Many of us have done this and it is hard, but *knowing* there is light at the end of the tunnel does help. So glad that you are enjoying your life! You deserve your happiness. |
