The Power of the `Spazzo Dance'

It goes something like this:

You're in a bad mood...PMS, too much stress, too much time on the Ageless debate forum, whatever....

HE notices your mood, catches you eye, and then launches into the stoopidest, funniest, craziest dance you ever saw. Its like his whole body wiggles and jerks... and just to add a touch of `extra-spaz', he kind of rolls his eyes and sticks his tongue out.

It makes me snort laugh every time.

Tell me we're not the only people who do kind of weird stuff to bring light relief to each other's random moodiness!

Do you do anything funny to make your partner or other people laugh?

Do have you have a spazzo dance?

(its fun)

I make up songs.

*Sung to the tune of .... (shrug - I can't remember) ... to my dog*

Scuzzy eyes
You make me crazy with those scuzzy eyes
You may be lazy
But those scuzzy eyes just drive me wild, those scuzzy eyes!

And poems ... to my cat

What would happen if I sat on my cat?
My cat would be flat, no doubt about that.
My cat would go splat, and that would be that.

For humans, I just laugh so hard at them when they're being absurd - bending, pointing, slapping my thigh, tears rolling down my face - that they eventully laugh at me AND themselves.

LOL!!!!!

I'm laughing just thinking of you doing that Chatter!

Hey cool poems. I must learn to natter to myself for that `extra senile' look...

Tho I bet when you do it, its comes across as cool. Everyone would just think I'm nuts:)

Huuuuuu...I don't think we have a spazzo dance! It sounds like a good stress reliever though!

The closest I can think of is...one time James lost a bet with me, and had to do a strip tease while singing "Row, row, row your boat".

He does a drop dead perfect impression of me, complete with the mannerisms, voice and perfectly pitched whine! It should piss me off, but it also makes me laugh!

yes, i sing.
and i sing because i need some comic relief.
and i've influenced Coop and now he sings it too

imagine if you will, in the oddest, loudest, most extreme, horribly off-key, intentionally COUNTRY voice, this golden oldie...

~ I AM SO BEAUTIFUUUULLLLL.......TO ME!
~ CAN'T YOU SEEEEEE?????
~ I'M EVRYTHING I'D HOPED FOR!
~ EVERYTHING I NEEEEED!
~I AM SO BEAUTIFUUUULLLLLL......to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

and yes, sometimes, i dance like i'm in Swan Lake while singing this.
Coop does it much better.
it's the cheeks.

I have to tell you people that can be joked out of being angry how much I ENVY you!!! It must be wonderful and you are soooo lucky to have found someone that can do that for you!

On a television show once, a mother and her daughters were having a heated argument in a mall. One of the mother's friends walks by and the mother puts on her fake smile and says, "Oh Hiiiiiii!" fawns over her friend for a minute, and as soon as she walks away, turns around and starts arguing again. A friend of the older daughter walks by and the oldest daughter immediately puts on a fake smile and says, "Oh Hiiiiii! fawns over her friend for a minute, and as soon as she walks away, turns around and starts arguing again. A friend of the younger daughter walks up to her and says, "Hi!" and the younger daughter screams, "What are you blind? Can't you see we're having an argument here!!!" The third one is me!

Oh oh, wait, I just remembered the my first love used to tell me, "Everyone is afraid of you, not me. I know you just need a quick kiss and a slap on your fanny, and you're fine." And he was right -- with him it was true!! :p

While I was recovering from sinus surgery my guy broke into a little dance. We had recently seen the Gorillaz video for 'Dirty Harry'. The animated character in the video does this dance. My guy did the dance in his underpants humming to the tune. I felt horrible from the surgery, but that still made me smile. So, no, Rozie, you aren't alone! :D

It's funny you bring this up BellaD. My 18 year old daughter was just saying the other day that she wonders if any other family ever acts as retarded as our family. That we always act 'normal' when others are around but once we're alone, or with other family members we're rather loony.

It's not unusual for the whole gang to vocalize fart sounds.... heh, Dereck has even gone as far as giving each of our pets their very own fart sound as a name and frequently calls them by it. Rather hilarious to watch Baby, our little dog, come running to hers!

That's only the tip of the iceberg... :D

LOL, Lynn...I'll bet you have a lot of fun in your house!. Theres a lot of stuff Stu and I do and say for laughs in `private only' too:) I just don't think anyone else would `get it'...but thats one of the things I love about getting to know someone funny over time...the `in-jokes' just get more elaborate to the point that you have to know where it all started...

LOL Lynn, my whole family is loony away from strangers and around them. Whenever we get together, we organise parties in the garden and go into sessions of hysterical laughter. The neighbours had to ask my sister in-law what went on behind the bushes that seperate the two backyards.

When one of my sisters calls, during a 15 minutes conversation, only a few minutes are spent pronouncing real sentences, the rest is just laughter. Crazy I know.

I'm a clown, and my son is surely becoming one as well. If I see someone sad or angry, I'd do just about anything to make them laugh, and most of the time I do succeed. Just have to improvise depending on the situation. It could go from a subtle but funny facial expression to saying something or even using strange body language. The person first stares at me with surprise and then just cracks up. The anger is soon forgotten.

Bella D most of our private stuff is in 'gestures' and not necessarily sexual either. In fact probably most is so ridiculous that if anyone ever did chance to glimpse us they'd stare in total dumbfounded confusion. We are just plain weird. LOL

Aline, you sound like us!! You'll have to come over! Oh this is hilarious... we've had our neighbor step out of her house, stare across the yard where we're all laughing so hard. She says "What the hell," but then comes over so she can join in. LOL.... a few weeks ago we were having a barbecue out on the patio and she was invited. As she was walking over my son, who is 23, runs into the house to call her phone number... well she turns around after giving us this rolled-eyed expression and goes back in to answer the phone. We could hear him asking her when she's coming over. Well, all the way from the patio we could hear her on her phone calling him a jackass for making her turn around carrying all her stuff.

I remember all through growing up how all the kids wanted to be at our house because there was laughter and good natured antics constantly going on. Well it's carried on to the next generation and is doing so again.

My exym did that spazzo dance !!! And, of course, he being a professional dancer in real life, just made it absolutely more funny. He would usually end it with a huge leap onto the couch next to me (or onto my lap:p ) and smother me with kisses (that I'd have to wipe off!) to cheer me up:D

Ahhhhhh, the joys of the unrestrained, playful, willing-to-be-the-village-idiots-to cheer-us-up vym!
