I have been seeing this YM for about 8 months now...at first I thought it was just a fling and never thought anything of it. But now we my be getting more serious. I know this is bad..but he never asked my age and I never offered. When he finally does ask I will just say we are the same age difference as Ashton & Demi, and we are...he is 25 I am 40...I love being my age...but don't want to steal his youth or anything.
Any suggestion...? do I need a cuff in the head?

You aren't stealing his youth because it isn't possible to take that from someone. You don't need your head examined and you are not crazy. You haven't lied about your age so you have no problems there. I would want him to know (since you clearly know his ;)) if it were me though. Next time I talked with him I'd playfully work it into conversation somehow.

Hi there and welcome to ageless -- I'm 41 and my husband is 25 so, if you're wondering, the answer is, yes, a long-term OW/YM age gap relationship can work very well. We've been a couple just a few months shy of 4 years and there are several here with bigger age gaps who've been together longer than we have.
I'm not sure what sort of cuffing you think you need but, if you're just asking about the big picture, browse around and hear what others have to say.
Again, welcome!
I remember vaguely the moment I revealed my hideous ancient age to the young man I'd fallen crazy in love with.
me: You know I'm a lot older than you?
him: yep
me: Doesn't that bother you? Don't you think it's weird and disgusting?
him: nope
me: Do you want to know how old I am?
him: doesn't matter to me
me: Well I'm 36 there I've said it do you still love me now?
him: yep
me: Oh. Well all right then.

I'm 34 and I don't feel ancient at all.
Hehe, I'm 38 now and most of my friends call me "the young'un".

Mine has already forgotten my age twice and now says I must be a couple years older (Im 7.5 years older)
We don't seem at all different in age lookswise and dont act at all different.
If anything he's more experienced than me in all areas. (sex, life experince, whatnot)
In fact he keeps calling me kiddo which is kinda cute.
So Im just going to shut up and not even dwell on the topic.

With the right guy and a little time, you don't even notice the age difference anymore.
My fiancce and I are 14 years apart (I'm 39 and he'll be 26 next month) and we've been together 2.5 years now. We are living together with our kids and have a new baby together. We rarely if ever think about age. The only time it comes up is if it's glaring - like he never heard of some old movie.
SOmetimes I look in the mirror and see new wrinkles or greys and wonder if he notices, but I'd think the same thing if he were 39 too.
So, yeh, it can work! ;)
