Reporting a bad situation

I am new here. I'm 37 and my YM is 22 so I've been browsing here a lot and have gotten a lot of good advice. This post actually has nothing to do with OW/YM relationships, but I've noticed a few heated discussions here over illegal relationships between adults and minors. I was wondering... to whom does one report such a thing? Do you just go to the police? City social services? What if one has spoken to the parents of the minor about this and they don't care or even encourage it. Does he/she have a responsibility to go further?

Thanks.

I would probably report it to the local Child Protection Services department and let them take it from there.

Whiterose is correct. Child Protection, Family and Children's Services, whoever has jurisdiction in the area. That's what they do: protect minors, especially when parents fail to do so.

Okay, thank you.
