.....what are the highlights of this year for you??

I will start by saying that this year was a balancing year most of all work wise.
I landed a great job (that is, JUST a job not a career) that will serve me as a tremendous bridge towards my actual career plans.--which will develop within the next 12 months as far as paper work and the entire application process, so this 2007 is a very exiting time for me.

I also ended a long term relationship, that was making me sick on the inside a bitter person...all and all, now that it has been over a month I feel relieved and happier to say the least.

Towards the last quarter of the year, I also met this very special gal with whom I feel an incredible connection with. She has made the transition that much more pleasant for me.
We are opening the year together tonight, this is a VERY big step for us both of course. We have promised to keep our restraints and do not rush anything.

You?

Reflecting back on 2006.....

Well, 2006 was a year like no other. It was a year when i actually got off my *** and did something about my life.

I had been working at a job for ten years that i was not really happy anymore. It might have been at least a good four years that i was not happy there. There had to be a way out. I had a real estate license and everything but my clients usually went with someone else because i didn't have time to attend to them.

Then my father offered me a job with him working in his fabrication business. Business was picking up for him so he needed help running the office, making calls to vendors, and handleing computer work. This job had been offered to me since the beginning of the year.

After nine months of still working at this place (it was a medical facility), i decided to do something about it. On Sept. 29, 2006 i walked into my supervisor's office and told her that i was giving my two weeks notice. The two weeks notice did not become official till Oct. 13 but i had finally decided to take the first step.

It has been almost three months and things are going okay. I say okay because there is alot to learn about the business. I am handling office matters, sales matters, computer matters, bookkeeping matters and anything else that needs to be taken care of.

That was 2006 for me.....next is working on my social life......

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!!!

2006 was a good year for me (and for Alec too I guess! :D)

I went back to school. I got a new job and made new friends. I became more familiar and happy in Raleigh. I got an even better job with health insurance that I start this year! Alec got a new job that he's way more happy with. We both got new cars and took a wonderful trip to Washington DC. Oh! And best of all...we got engaged!!!

2007 is going to ROCK!!!

Nadine.
