Was wondering...........Are any of you into atsrology and if so, do you know anything about Saturn return.
Saturn is supposed to return in our charts about every 26-27 years.
My main question is this........Have any of you that are or have been in long term relationships with y/m noticed any big changes in them around that age? If you have.......what were they and did it make your relationship better or worse.

i'm sorry i dont know about the saturn return thing, but the topic reminded me that i have this fun little astrology program for couples. :)

if anybody feels like it, give me information on both members of a couple, would-be couple, fantasy date or whoever else you feel like and i can cut&paste in part of all of the results from the program. might be a fun diversion, and i've found that the results are usually pretty interesting to the participants i've tried thus far. we could even pair up various folks on this board to see how they'd do just for fun. :P

the info i'd need is:
1. city, state, country of birth (or nearest large city if it's pretty small/rual)
2. date of birth
3. time of birth (this changes things quite a bit so it's worth calling mom to get if you're really interested)

I also do charts on my loved ones and, other than social factors, it is usually very accurate.
I myself am an aries/cancer/cap.......makes for an interesting ride for sure :)

To Jaye: Are you using the AstroMart software (http://www.astro-software.com/)? It returns a rather detailed compatibility analysis.

BTW, my sweetie and I are both Aquarius and couldn't be more compatible. We're so much alike it's a little scary.

To tinydancer: Hmmmm, wonder if the Saturn transit is the reason so many marriages break up around that 25-year mark??? ;)

No, i have Worlds of Wonder software. I have another older program for printing charts (old but reliable). WoW has very detailed, and so far very insightful readings on relationships and does various charts (including standard natal) and graphs and such. For single readings i typically just use a standard chart and a good, old reference book i have that's done me well over the years.

the WoW is also nice because it presents the results in nice easy to cut&paste from text boxes, rather than tying everything to some hokey graphics heavy interface or trying to type in pages from a book or printout... hence my offering to use it. :)

PS: arachne, i envy you your aquarian sweetie. i've *always* had a thing for them. :) i'm very libran myself and have yet to find a perfect compliment (i adore aquarians but they're one sign that almost always *isn't* interested in me.. beyond friends anyway. go figure.) it really does seem like every guy i've gotten totally infatuated with was an aquarian. damn them. :P

U were asking about the Saturn return, well, it occours approx 29 1/2 years after birth although its influence is noticable over a wide spread of years 25 to 35 in my experiance .......... It is traditionally the time when one takes stock of ones life ..... Can be a time of major transformation and directional change ......... Yes ppl do seem to change around this time ..... Although we could also attribute this change to the first realisation that we r not immortal ..... Seems that reaching ones 30's trigger's a kinda "help I'm getting old" reaction :)

I used to do chart comparisons for my friends and myself years ago... the hard way... pre-computer! Argh! It takes forever. I still have the books around, but I've lost my ephemeris for the 70s. Bummer!

Although some of the detrimental points aren't really as much of an issue for us. That's where the age gap helps. Jonathan is such a homebody type and when I was young, I wouldn't have stuck around 10 minutes. I was always out dancing and partying. But now, in my 50s, I'd just as soon stay at home.
I'm also much less of a basket case with "nerves" than I used to be.
Also, I'm more of the seeker after "the meaning of life" and Jonathan is the one who "strives for status and material security", so thats working for us too. As far as the "verbal sparring and mental contact before and during love-making"... there is much mental contact, but virtually no "sparring".
I think if Jonathan and I had met as same age partners, we might not have lasted. Since I'm at a different stage in my life, (more mellow in some ways, more fun loving in others)... than he is, we complement each other. Also, I'm more willing, I think, to allow him his differences without feeling threatened by them. Sometimes we're just different from each other. My way or his way isn't right or wrong. Just different. Our love is still just as strong even when we disagree.

Yeah, for me my whole life has seemed like a "Saturn Return".
OK , kidding it hasn't been that bad.

Astrology Is a big interest of mine, yet still eludes me.
I find myself trying to figure out a persons Rising sign before their sun sign...I was right 2 times, yeah but that was 2 out of maybe 50+ppl, then again many people don't know their birth times which makes it difficult. Such as mine, 1 minute differances changes my rising sign and I do have the cancerian physical features, not geminis.
My x-husband and I split up when my Uranus(sudden changes) and Neptune(foggy/not sure what the hell is going on) were transiting my 7th house(house of relationships). I believe he may have been beginning his 1st saturn Return at the time(He split up with me).

Sun, Moon, Merc in Libra
Venus in Scorpio(some things in life just can't be helped...lol)
Ascendant/Rising:Cancer
