Im a little bit confused

Hello everyone Im new to this board i stumbled upon it doing my research on the topic (OW/YM relationships) I used to think something was totally wrong with me because all of my friends have always criticized my fascination with older women. They all tend to go for younger girls. Im very glad that I was able to find this website. Makes me feel normal :)

Don't worry about the reactions of your friends. My YMs friends thought he was crazy at first but when they saw how much him and I connected they were great. I am actually very comfortable with not anly his male friends but his female friends as well. It's that first reaction that you have to get past. The person that thought he was crazy the most was his brother...you see...I was 37 at the time and my YM was 20...we have been together almost 3 years. Well I am happy to report that his 25 year old brother just celebrated 1 year with his 42 year old girlfriend. Isn't that the craziest thing????

It can be very unnerving, especially if like you me you come from a very small town. Personally, I would assume that cities would be slightly more liberal - social trends are generally ingrained into rural life - but I am not sure......

The OW that I have seen in the past (she was only 25, I was 18) said she found it difficult at first, but I think in the end we simply were so far into each other (methaphorically speaking) that we simply looked over it.

I guess thats an idealistic reaction though.
