Hey guys. I thought it would be interesting to see what you all do for a living and if you love it or hate it.

I'm a parts delivery driver for a car dealership and I looooooove it.:D

I think i would reallllly like a driving job!

I HATE MY JOB. I dont hate the work itself, i hate the B/S.

I work for the US Postal Service. I cant quit because i'm in my 18th year, and i'll never make this kind of money anywhere else.

Right now i work in a big facility, where we process Priority mail packages. I key the zip code for a 1/2 hour, then i push the boxes up a conveyor belt for the next 1/2 hour. Repeat.

There are just so many co-workers who get away with doing NOTHING all day. Its sad. I try not to pay attention to it. And just so many dumb rules, and bad treatment of people. The job itself is easy...monkey-work, we call it.

I provide conference services. I like my work. What I love about it is that I do not have to work everyday. I own my company so I have greater freedom than if I was working for a corporation. I do not think that I could go back to working for a salary. Sometimes, though, it involves long hours and hard work. And I feel drained beyond description.

I do not work in the same place either. I work at different fine hotels and facilities and sometimes I get to travel.

Yes, overall, I love my job.

I work for an extremely fast-paced and fascinating job for the second largest Systems division in the country (State Farm Systems division is second only to the US Government's). I'm specifically in "project world" where there's rarely a dull moment and the technology is constantly evolving. It's a fantastic job if corporate life is your thing. I definitely don't "hate" my day job in corporate America.

However, as you all know, what I am truly passionate about is the company I've recently started and I am counting the days until I can leave the 8 - 5 so I can dedicate my time to doing what I truly love: our personal chef/event planning/catering company.

I chose "I like it ok" and "meh..." I'm an accounting associate. I like my co-workers fine (I used to have issues with a couple of my co-workers but they since quit). It's an ok job, although the paperwork can get tedious at times.

I am kidney transplant coordinator and I love it...the people I work with are like family, we argue, fight, kiss and makeup, then fight again. I love it when I am able to call someone to tell them that we found a match for them. It makes me feel so good.

I run the office for a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. It's absolutely fascinating, and I love what I'm learning about Naturopathy, supplements, homeopathic remedies and just the complete difference between it and Allopathy, which is western styled medicine. However it is INCREDIBLY busy, I always feel like I'm juggling 50 things at once (I generally am!), some of the patients are...well...sigh...(however some are absolutely fantastic, so that evens out, even if the former ones tend to make me tired). I didn't put I absolutely loooove it because I find it to be really exhausting, and already I'm starting to worry about burn out, even though I love my boss and what I do.

I think I just need a weekend away:)

I run an indigent care clinic as a clinical manager. I have 5 people I supervise directly, and 14 doctors I supervise indirectly. We have 5000 patient visits a year.

What I love: the money, my coworkers, the satisfaction of making a difference in someone's life.

What I hate: it's too much responsibility, it's too hectic, I'm pulled in 20 directions all the time.

What would I rather be doing? Teaching middle schoolers. Making a difference in the life of someone else who could make a difference so I don't have to anymore! :prayer:

After way too much time doing other jobs I truly didn't like and I hated office politics, I'm finally back doing what I really love - writing. Screenwriting is fascinating in that its always changing, always evolving, and nothing ever really stays the same...true, on occasion you have to work with totally idiotic actors but the fact that I get to work in my pj's 85% of the time makes up for it!!

I love my job, if I'm going to work, but the closer to retirement I get, the more I'm looking forward to it.

I work for the city I live in and am 3 minutes from work . . . no place else I could work and be that convenient and make the kind of $$ I make. Been there 14 years and have about 4 to go before I retire to someplace fun! :D
