I may be in the minority here, but I kind of liked the old Ageless....sometimes if it's not broke....:o

That's the result of a forum software upgrade. The developer changed some of the features. Nothing we can do about it.

The background to me has a pink hue...mybe its b/c of all the thick burgandy borders....can we make our post fonts black, to change up the monochronicity of things?

Well, I really love the new format changes...for me it's become a much more mature and classy looking site, I like the changes. The new colors are much warmer than the previous ones...

For those who don't like it, don't worry - you'll get used to it. I remember the first time they changed the skin completely, I felt like I was on a different site and had lost a friend or something, now I can't even remember what the site first looked like when I joined.

Since the old skin was 800 pixels wide and this one is 900 pixels, I don't think there's anything to worry about.

I gotta adjust my color. The background is grayish and the borders are that AWFUL brown-grapey color of the lipstick that was fashionable a few years back - that I BARELY survived! Watching Elaine on Seinfeld with her brown lipstick .... yuckkkkkk!

I love the colors and I am seeing them just exactly as Ohiosweetheart described.

Yes, now the borders look burgundy, but the something still makes the site in its entirety seem pink to me. I guess I'll get used to it. When I first saw it, I was thinking "shall I suggest burgundy instead of this?" It looks more pinkish/plum.:fooddance7:

I am getting used to it as Amina said I would, however, I DO wish at least the post font was still black. To me, it's just too much burgandy. Well, I see a creamy colored background, a beige sort of box around the posts and dark burgundy borders...and it looks pretty classy! :yes:

Most of the changes you are seeing are part of the upgrade in software...which Rob so kindly purchased for us. The new color scheme, the photo album, all the neato smilies and sweeetttt new chat room (which Rob also kindly purchased for us) are all also the hard work of Ohiosweetheart. I think she has done an amazing job!

I just want to say thanks so much to Rob and Ohiosweetheart for all this...You guys rock!

And I know, when I first came on the site tonight I was like..whoa...where am I? But I think we will adjust to it, and get used to all the new features..Im kind of adjusting myself, because with the new software things are a bit different on the moderation end of things too!

I do not see any pink. Just grey and burgundy. I like it, it has a very professional look. What I wish to see is the old pictures of Age Gap couples, instead of just a kiss. I remember those pictures made me feel so "not-abnormal", I felt I was not alone.

I like the kiss...the pictures always made me think of hired actors who didn't look like they were in an age gap to me...but what do I know..:hide:

It is hard for me to adapt to changes, I am set in my ways and like they say, if it ain't broke why fix it! But I know I will get used to the changes, gosh I have to, if I want to stay around! jajajajaja

I like the new look of the site..but the things that I can tell annoy me already are..... the brown font colors as it all blends together on me with the beige background and also the spacing within the posts looks a bit cramped with sigs and such...but im sure ill adjust...just have to take a break from my computer screen more often now..lol:frog:

lol - pixels is the width of the forum. In other words, the forum is exactly the same - same layout, same structure, same forums, but it's wider now than it was when the other skin was up here. It was in the middle then, just as it is now. Nothing about the board has changed except the graphics/colors.

I love the kissy faces at the top too. Its more generic then the last picture. Its now more of a picture that anyone can identify with.

I feel change is good. Updating is always good.....in with the new, out with the old!

Honestly, I could give a fig...and am surprised so many people do. The content is why I come here, not the color scheme....pink, burgundy, beige, blue, whatever...As long as the layout is clean and easy to read, I dont know why it would matter..but I suppose some colors may be harsh on the eyes and that might be an issue for some people. Personally, I liked it fine before, and I like it fine now. I do like the new features, like the picture gallery and the smiley additions...that is definitely a plus.

I absolutly love the new look and the dividers works very good for me... for some reason I think that they make it easier to read through a long thread.. like this one is turning out to be :yes:

The new design is waaaaay to busy and the burgundy/red is a very stressfule colour.

See, I think it is LESS busy than with all that pink & blue. It seems so much better pulled together now.

Yes, Rob mentioned it, too. All the same color family... it makes my eyes tired and achy to read the posts now, so I'm skipping a lot of stuff that I used to enjoy reading before The Change.

Please, can't we go back to black text? Meanwhile, I'm customizing my posts to be black.

I love the new Ageless!!!!!!!! As I read this, I'm thinking there are people who are either a) colorblind, or b) have a screwed up computer. It's all off-white, tan and burgundy to me, and I find it much easier on the eyes than the old ageless.

That picture has never automatically made me think of "sex". I have the original hanging on my livingroom wall. It makes me think of loving closeness between a couple, not naughtiness, not fantasy, not sex, and I don't think that that idea is portrayed here, nor in that picture, at all, in any way, shape or form.

The main page has already been updated to this look. When I change the font color in posts, it automatically changes the front page.

However, the front page will not be changed to all black text, unless Rob tells me to. The links were black and the small text was burgundy to start with. I changed it for y'all. Now the links are burgundy and the text throughout the site is black so you could have your black text in the posts.

Nope, they're instantaneous. All I did was reverse colors. The links (forums names) were black before, and the small text beneath them was burgundy. Whatever color that small text is, is the color of the text in the posts.

Y'all wanted black text in the posts, so I reversed the colors - the forum names, and anything that is a link, are now burgundy and the small text is black, making the text in the posts black.

Y'all have no idea how UGLY the main forum page would be with ALL black text and links. UGH.

It takes me a while but i get over it. I've been here over 4 years and have seen numerous changes.

The latest change i'm not too fond of is when i edit my posts. whenever you edit them you have to have a reason for why you edited the post otherwise it won't make the change. But once again i'll get over it.

Really, I just leave the box blank, and it still lets me do it. :confused:

You do not have to give a reason. Just edit and save.

I like the look okay, but when I put the blue up next to the beigh, I like the blue much better. Maybe that is because I love blue. :p
