Hiya all..ive just found this great site!
Im 47 and my fiance is 25....i live in the north east of england and he lives in Tunis, in Tunisia. We got engaged on 14th Feb 2007 and plan to marry in Tunisia in September 2007...Ive been married before and have been divorced for 10 years. I have 2 sons aged 25 and 28, they are really pleased that i am so happy at last! after being divorced i was anti-men for a long time and had no urge to have another relationship. Until i went to Tunisia in 2006 all that changed when i met the love of my life....i can honestly say it was love at forst sight for both of us...i thought i had been in love b efore but how wrong could i bee!!! we talk on the phone and text every day and it costs a lot of money but he is worth it. Most of my friends think ive gone mad and i have lost a few so called friends because of this relationship..but its their loss. what experiences have other people had??

I'm 46 and American and engaged to a young man of 20 who is originally from Iran. He's been in the US for some years, but he lives on the other side of the country from me, so we have to spend time and money on the phone, too. (We don't really talk over the computer although that is where we first met - he was trying out a chatroom for the first time of a community web site where I have been a member for years and years).

I know what you mean about the men - I was also married and divorce (twice!) The first marriage ended and it was 6 years before I remarried.

After the second marriage ended, it was very bizarre to me, but suddenly when the community found out I was single again, I started to get so many marriage proposals and from people who were between the ages of 24 to 30 (mostly from the 24 year olds!) As most of them were from outside of the US, I always suspected that the only attraction was the green card. But there have been a couple of people here inside the USA who also were attracted and who didn't need the greencard.

I still didn't consider such an age gap relationship as possible until I met the young man I am now engaged to. He changed my thinking on it big time (as did coming to this wonderful site!) So stick around... read through more posts... there are LOTS of experiences and advice shared here!

By the way, one of the young men who wanted to marry me is Tunisian and he told me that in Tunisia, it's a very common thing for older women to marry younger men. He said it's happens all the time there.
