Randy Travis! Go Randy!!! :) Yes. I think her name is Lib (short for Elizabeth) and they've been married since 1991, if I'm not mistaken. I'll look it up right now.

I've read some things about the history of their relationship, which is long and complex. Essentially, it seems that they both had some hard times and they found each other. They seem to be happy and very close...so good for them. It is very difficult to find Lib's age anywhere on the web. I have a feeling it's a closely guarded secret. She sounds like a fascinating woman.

Hu, I can't even begin to guess her age. Frankly, if you look at some of the close up pictures, and just look at their faces, he actually looks older than her. Am I the only that thinks that?

Nope, not the only one. I think he looks older too! I read his bio, and it sounds like he's lived a bit.

Most stars are always breaking up and getting divorced, age gap or not, that is why it is hard for me to get happy when I read about them... I always wonder how long with that last.

I have a feeling Randy Travis' wife is A LOT older than she looks in the photos, which are fairly recent...I think in the past few years. The first one is this year I think. Randy is 47. So even if she's 15 years older, she's got to be at least early 60s. I remember reading somewhere years ago that she was about 20 years or more older than him and they didn't show a photo and the way the article described it, it sounded like she was some old lady ready for the nursing home...lol...that was the "tone" in the article...and somehow the suggestion was that it was "in name only", that they had "become close" or something like that because she was his manager and had even been his court-appointed guardian for a while when he was under 18...this was around the time they got married, in the early 90s. So all these years I was thinking, oh, the woman must be in a wheelchair by now. When I saw the photos...I'm thinking...that's not the "picture" that article years ago had painted...she's much more attractive/cuter...I'm picturing someone who looks like his great-grandmother. I was pleasantly surprised.:bgrin2:

And yes, there IS hope! He looks older for his age, and she looks younger for her age. And they seem to meet in-between. See how men age too? Conversely, there are a lot of woman who can age gracefully!

I love Randy Travis (it's a sick addiction and there's no hope!).

They've been married for a bunch of years (1991). She was/still is his manager. He's a bit of a wild one at heart so someone has to hold tight to them reins. :yes:

But I'm not sure how much older than him she is (I think it's been hinted at about 20+ years). They met when he was like 16 and she was married. I know the father-in-law was banned from some club for a while because he made comments about the relationship. Don't know if they ever patched it up.

Barbara Hershey and the guy from Lost I stopped following after the child incident. I couldn't admire them for that. He denied the child and she denied he cheated. Tacky on both sides. But I do believe they are still together. This is the second AGR for him. He has a child with his ex (wife? not sure if they married). She was his teacher in England. He actually lived in the same house with her and her husband while he was a teenager.

The two that I think of immediately are Tim Robbins/Susan Sarandon (left pic) and Geena Davis/Dr. Reza Jarrahy (right pic) (because they both have about the same AGR as me 14/15 years) Both women are drop dead gorgeous and show that you can be absolutely hot AND the older counterpart! They are sexy women for 50+ and prove that even in Hollywood you can age gracefully and more natural than most who are determined to plast-i-cize themselves away.

Nope, I was just going to say the same thing. That happens more than you'd think. My wife is 6-7 years older than me (depending on the exact month) and when we started dating, she looked noticeably older. Now, everybody who doesn't know our ages thinks I'm older than her. (And no, she hasn't had plastic surgery and doesn't even color her hair.)

I'd love to take her to Geena Davis's or Susan Sarandon's stylist so she could get an update on her look (hair style, clothes, nails, everything), I think she could look a ton more youthful with just a few fashion tweaks.

I also think she's in her 60s for sure. And logically, I agree that she could use a makeover. However, there is something uniquely tacky about her that I think is very funkadelic. Her public outfits are somewhat on the outrageous side and it's kind of cool....I'm sure people probably say, "Did you see that outfit!!???" behind her back but she has that look like she'd tell you where to go. She's obviously got her own "style" and I respect that.:D

I think her hair kind of threw me off a bit. It reminds of back in the 60s and 70s when country women used to have the big platinum blonde hair..ala Dolly Parton. But actually her face...she doesnt seem to have a lot of wrinkles etc.

now....Juliet and Maxwell....THAT"S an attractive couple....age-appropriate stylish...Oh my gosh, she looks GREAT (and he's a hottee:) ). That'll be me and my hubby when I'm 66 (but he'll only be 44;) )

Another celeb couple with an age gap who dont get much press (because they are happily married) are aussie actors Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness. I think Deborra is 10 years older than Hugh.

Good for them! :) 10 years is not a lot, but somehow many people think so when the woman is older. Weird. The Swedish-Bosnian soccerplayer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, caused some attention in the media a while back when it was reported he dated a woman 12 years older than him. He was 23 and she was 35. The couple later had a son, so they did good in ignoring the naysayers :)
