brennus 05-18-2007, 07:17 AM Hello. My name is Brian. I'm a 26 year old Civil Engineer from Milwaukee. I'm interested in poetry readings, art galleries. I love travel, and went to Toronto/Buffalo/Niagara Falls over Easter weekend. I'm seeking older women not just for potential companionship, but also friends. I'm originally from Chicago.
My best female friends have always been older women, and I don't have to deal with isssues like being rejected based on how I carry myself, straight women trying to hook me up with their gay male friends, or looks being more important than brains and shared interests with older women.
For me, dealing with women between legal age and 40 is not only undesirable, but if there was a mechanism to remove sexual attraction to women under 40, I would use it. Dealing with women under 40 to me, and excuse me for using this metaphor, would be equivalent to those teacher-student cases for me - unethical, and likely to lead to trouble, including legal trouble. This is from bitter experience, and I'm not taking the above statement back.

Hello, Brian. Welcome!
What a remarkably negative tone with which to introduce yourself to a new community!
Did you know that many of those same "undesirable" women in their 20s are very attractive to 40-something men, and that they are also a part of the age-gap community here at Agelesslove??
Just wanted to remind you of the diversity of our online community. ;)
The Rose Knight 05-18-2007, 09:27 AM Welcome aboard, Brian.
Sorry to hear of your bitter experience with ladies under forty. But all women under forty aren't the same women you've had bad experiences with. Broadbrushing is never good practice. Some of the lovely older ladies here are in the age range you mentioned (I'm probably one of the oldest younger men on on the board).
Give those forty and under ladies a chance; each lady is unique and special in her own way regardless of her age. While there are some bad apples out there, the rest should not be penalized for it.
Daniel

Very well said, RK.
We should all be conscious of stereotyping.
I was reminded of this when watching the TV broadcast of the Rutgers University women's basketball coach passionately defending her team against Mr. Imus' comments.
Keep an open mind, Brian. :)
coloradogrrrl 05-18-2007, 10:27 AM Welcome to Ageless! A wonderful community with fabulous people! You will be comfortable here. :welcome:
sheila4pd 05-18-2007, 10:37 AM Welcome, this is a great oportunity for you to be in a forum where you will meet wonderful people of all ages. Who knows, maybe the next dearest friend you make will be a woman under 40.
Life is ironic sometimes.
Kristin 05-18-2007, 02:26 PM Hmmm...under 40? Nice to be seen as too young here! LOL!:p
BTW - my fiance and I live in Milwaukee, too. He's the same age as you. We met when he was 23 and I was 36. I'm 39 now.
Glad he didn't discriminate on age - either over 40 or under!
Welcome to Ageless.
Angel 05-18-2007, 04:03 PM Welcome to Ageless.
I am 34 with a glass eye and fetchin' desire to find me another youngin' to teach Physics to.
Just kidding. Figured I could be at least a little silly since I'm in the 'NO-NO' age. ;) :bgrin2:
brennus 05-18-2007, 07:07 PM Thank you for your comments. I'm sorry if I offended any woman under 40 with my comments, but my ideal age for a female partner would still be in her 40s. It's frustration with an incident involving my last girlfriend, who was 39 when she lied to and extorted money from me. She still calls me at work on payday.
I'm just frustrated with the idea that sex and obsession equals love, and that too many people of both genders don't truly believe in relationships and being "partnered" with each other. I want someone who will like me for me, not what I can give them, and I want more than sex out of a relationship.
In short, I want a real relationship with real caring and real love, and not to be someone cramming his body against another, or being a walking ATM.

Do you think this woman would have acted any differently if she were 5 years older? Jerks are jerks, regardless of age. Some of them learn to treat people with more respect as they gain experience, some don't. Some probably go the opposite way.
Welcome anyways, even though I'm well within the range of women who are apparently obsessed with sex and money. Hope you find what you're looking for.
