Hello. I am a 28 year old and somewhat new to this board, my wife just turned 50 this year. We have a 2 and a half year old girl named Clara and reside in Indiana which we moved to from costly California recently. We really like it here, and since I currently make our dough on Ebay, we spend the entire day together in our small town taking walks with Clara, going yard sale hunting and going to parks. My wife and I have been married for 4 years, we've been a couple for 6 years and we have known each other for 14 years. Our "story" is extremely detailed and long that there really is no easy way to sum it up. It all ends the same either way I tell it so maybe I'll start (end) there.
We were both at the annual "life and diversity" event in our old hometown. I was on the stage to play a song of tolerance (believe it or not) but first I felt inclined to mention a realization from the night before: that we have nothing in this universe but each other and what a shame it would be to deny connecting because of the barriers we believe in. I played the song then went on a walk with my future wife and we had our first kiss. Since then nothing has kept us apart, including having already applied to a college 150 miles away (I ended up commuting.) In my opinion love needs to change us and challenge us, otherwise we might as well stay single. My best wishes to anyone who accepts the challenge.
