I immediately thought of Victorine Meurent who is woman in what has always been probably my single favorite painting. Manet's 1873 painting 'Gare St. Lazare'. Didn't see her though.. but I thought in did from other paintings he did of her. I have that Manet print framed and hanging in my house!!! I bought it at the Musee de Orsay's gift shop in Paris in 2003, and it has ALWAYS captivated me. It just ...'hit' me first time I saw it there and had to have a print as well.
