Why do some people think they can tell everyone what to do?

I've had it with Roanoke Virginia and the attitudes here! I've been jumped on because of my UVA sweatshirt (Tech Fan), been called a ***** by a 15 year old floozy who thought I was someone else, and NO she did not have the grace to apologize, and the list just goes on.

This afternoon someone tried, in an entirely empty public restaurant to tell me that I could not sit at an empty table. I was so incensed, that I just sat down anyway. When people make a reasonable request, I'm typically amenable, but this was not a request, it was a demand. And then she sat behind me for fifteen minutes while I finished my meal and then talked sh*t about me to her five year old daughter. Calling me names, not curses, I could have called the manager for that one. As it was, when she'd left I spoke to security.

You're in Roanoke?? Why did I think you were in southern California somewhere?

Well... yes, I have.. "ever".... I have been on the receiving end of some of the ignorant people there in Roanoke. The Blue Ridge Mountains there are so gorgeous I once wanted to move to Roanoke, but not after coming in contact with a few of the people there.
