I haven't posted in a while, but always snooping around here. After 1 year and 1 month of knowing my OW,(25/36) the time finally came. We've been through so much in such a short time. She's lost her father, and grandmother. I've lost an aunt. She's had to deal with the horrible scag of a woman she calls her mother. The only human I've seen who can treat her own child with such sarcasm and distain only because of all the shortcomings in her own life. My Jen in a mother's DREAM daughter, I'll never understand it.
Finally, we were in a horrible car accident 4 months ago in which Jen suffered a serious knee injury involving 2 surgeries and months of agonizing physical therapy. She's about 90 percent recovered now. Through all of this she has done her best to stay positive, love me and continue to be a positive beacon to all those around her. I'm a better person just knowing her. I've laughed, cried and prayed with her and we've become stronger by the day. I asked her to be my wife at 11:15 Sat night and she answered with a resounding and teary eyed "YES!" Sorry for the long post, I can't find enough people to tell!
