Chatterbox 08-22-2007, 01:58 PM I am getting this error message three and four times in a row everytime I try to switch screens, view a post, post, etc., but then it goes through. My internet is working fine on other websites. Is anyone else having this problem?
Also, are other people that have access to the Debate Forum able to post???
thesedays 08-22-2007, 02:01 PM Same here, but I've been getting it since yesterday. I also get "ageless has encountered a database error" at times when trying to reply to message.
And it definitely isn't my internet connection !!
BellaLove 08-22-2007, 02:02 PM I'm getting it too....
Also when I first go to ageless.com it says that my account is inactive, but it isn't....wierd.
Yep, but using Safari so the message is different.
It's happening to me in discussion when I try to go to the next page.
PinkPanther_04 08-22-2007, 02:04 PM I'm getting some kind of error as well, but I can't remember what it said. Something about some undocumented something or other on a particular line.
Chatterbox 08-22-2007, 02:09 PM I'm getting some kind of error as well, but I can't remember what it said. Something about some undocumented something or other on a particular line.
Yesterday (and maybe the day before), I kept getting a message I've never seen before: blank screen except for one line of very small print ... but I can't remember what it said either. It only came up once in a while and only once each time it. Haven't seen it yet today.
Jo-Admin 08-22-2007, 02:30 PM Okay, I don't know what is going on now. I asked the tech admin to look and find out why some of you in the new group could not access the main page, and she looked and changed some permissions, and now every post y'all make in debate has to be approved first. All the settings as far as I know look the same, so I have to contact her again. :(
I'll do that right away, and hopefully we will have that fixed in a jiffy.
marcy 08-22-2007, 02:54 PM Just so you know Jody... I'm not a participator in the Debate section, but I am having this same issue :(
kindanice 08-22-2007, 03:26 PM I am getting this error message three and four times in a row everytime I try to switch screens, view a post, post, etc., but then it goes through. My internet is working fine on other websites. Is anyone else having this problem?
Also, are other people that have access to the Debate Forum able to post???
Me too. Since yesterday. I am referring to the error message.
Same as Marcy, not in the debate group, same problems. Moving to the next page in a thread sometimes brings an error message up also.
grumpysgirl 08-22-2007, 03:26 PM I get the same thing..but I do for other sites as well. From what I read on some computer forum post IE is experiencing problems with this and is trying to fix it :) Hope that helps:)
Oh Chatter ... were you worrying about ageless withdrawal? :)
PinkCat 08-22-2007, 03:33 PM I've been having that problem too, and am also not participating in the Debate forum.
:)
jellybean400 08-22-2007, 03:36 PM I've been having that problem too, and am also not participating in the Debate forum.
:)
Same here...and it was going on for days before the Debate thing started.
tinydancer 08-22-2007, 03:41 PM I've been having this problem for a while now:confused:
Esp. when trying to go to the next page of a thread.
Jo-Admin 08-22-2007, 03:42 PM You know, now that you mention it, I have been having the same problem too...just clicking on a thread and getting the error message, and having to go back and click it a couple more times before I see it.
I thought it was my crappy internet.... :( Well, I sent the tech admin two PMs and an email, so she should be here to read this thread sometime this afternoon.
greeneyedgirl 08-22-2007, 03:44 PM me too, long before the debate overhaul
cept mine says
"you silly tart, do you honestly think that anyone cares to see the gibberish you type? and seriously, you think you're funny? gimme a BREAK! No Soup For You!!!"
no one else gets this one?
weird.
tinydancer 08-22-2007, 04:01 PM LOL......mine's close!
Strwbrries 08-22-2007, 04:20 PM I get the error message from time to time and another one too where its just a url....D@mn computers...cant live with them , cant make you breakfast in bed.
Lovaholic 08-22-2007, 04:36 PM Still happening here. I get error message, but i can see new post. I can not get the home page at all. My down time (60 sec) in between posts is off too!
Angel 08-22-2007, 05:01 PM I've been having this problem for a while now:confused:
Esp. when trying to go to the next page of a thread.
Like TD, this issue has been going on longer than since the debate forum was taken down.
I've received the web page and database error for almost a month now. I've also noticed that sometimes Ageless can get real slow with loading.
Generally a refresh or two of the page fixes it. I didn't bother saying anything because I just figured it was something to do with my computer and not the site itself. However seeing how many others of us who are going through it I'm relieved it's not my computer.
Inahnia 08-22-2007, 05:19 PM Me too!! I thought it was just some wierd thing I was getting, but it has been happening a LOT lately!
freespirit 08-22-2007, 05:28 PM I get one from Squib Trace...who the heck is squib.....whoever he/she is she tells me the cache is empty......I dunno.....it could be the baked beans I ate last night.
zoliepup 08-22-2007, 05:28 PM Firefox user, same problem for at least a week, except that it just gives me a blank white screen. I refresh a couple of times and it goes away. Also not a debate chickie, so I don't think the changes have anything to do with it (unless you've been working on it for a long time).
foxyeyes 08-22-2007, 05:37 PM I can't even log in on internet explorer to ageless.
I log in and it takes me right back to the page to log in....but whats weird is I see my name in the list of users that are online!
I have just resorted to only using firefox to log in..no problems there....
ohiosweetheart 08-22-2007, 05:39 PM ooooook... first off, I have no idea how to fix the problem if I don't know what the error message says. So, it would really help me out alot, if, when y'all get an error message, you could copy and paste it where I can see it.
I'm going to look into the permissions now and see if something went screwy.
Also, tonight I'm going to upgrade the forum software to the newest version and see if that fixes anything, altho I don't think it will.
joelstrouble 08-22-2007, 05:41 PM I've been having this problem for a while now:confused:
Esp. when trying to go to the next page of a thread.
Ditto and when I go to the first unread post in a thread... but I thought it was something on my end, since windows has been bugging me about updates for a while now... problem is that the last two times I did updates I had to do a system restore after, because we got a lot of error messages about the software beeing incompatible with the hardwear and when we restarted the computer it would automatically went to the microsoft web page that told us that the problem was on their end
joelstrouble 08-22-2007, 05:47 PM Hmm... I've been clicking like crazy just now to see if I got that page again.. but nope... I think it know that we are hunting it down... It's like Bigfoot; 100's of people will see him, but if someone with a cam goes looking for him...he is nowhere to be found! :giggle:
ohiosweetheart 08-22-2007, 05:50 PM lol it probably does.
joelstrouble 08-22-2007, 06:01 PM I can't even log in on internet explorer to ageless.
I log in and it takes me right back to the page to log in....but whats weird is I see my name in the list of users that are online!
I have just resorted to only using firefox to log in..no problems there....
that also happens to me, but then I just click on one of the links on the top of the page and it is fixed!
Belisama 08-22-2007, 06:44 PM Happens here, too - but I don't think it has anything to do with the new debate section; it's been happening to me for days... maybe a week or so? I'm not sure. But I'm so glad to hear it's not something wrong with my computer!!
Lovaholic 08-22-2007, 07:47 PM vBulletin Message
Lovaholic, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
This is what mine says.
I use Firefox and for the last few weeks, sometimes I get a complete white page when browsing the forums. Usually refreshing the page once fixes that.

Sliced Bread 08-22-2007, 11:01 PM It's a server side error, in other words it's a problem with the network on the ageless love side. It's not an issue with anyone's computers here, the site is just have hiccups. Probably just a programming error, or they are working on the site.
Angel 08-22-2007, 11:04 PM Okay Ohio. I posted the first error message 2 posts ago and here is the other one I get. Hope that is the information you wanted to see. I know Chatter also posted the info from the error she received as well.

Sliced Bread 08-22-2007, 11:10 PM From my experience online, I can say it's safe to say it's either a bandwith error, or an error with the server host if it is not a programming hiccup or the site isn't undergoing maintenance.

The one I normally get mentions the server, I'll copy it if I get it again. Thing is, it's happened to me for ages, it comes and go's. Will happen one day for a while and then might not happen for weeks!
I'm not using IE though, I've got Safari on a mac.
Inahnia 08-23-2007, 09:54 AM I get the Explorer "page cannot be displayed" message a lot.

This is an internet explorer error, and can involve both IE and/or a glitch with your ISP. I got this error just this morning when there was a 35 second delay between my isp and the internet. It has nothing to do with the forum, and is something I can do nothing about.

I get these database errors by email and I have contacted Rob about them on a couple of occasions.
The email error tells me that the forum's database is not connecting with the host. This is something the host is going to have to rectify. So, I will email Rob about this again.

lost network connection is an error between your network and your internet provider. You need to call them with this error info, nothing I can do about it.
