Dr. Who

How many here remember Dr. Who? I loved this show and grew up watching it! Love that "Tardis"! I would love to have one!

Gosh it has been a long time since I watched it on PBS and some other channel. I like that robotic dog they had! It is hard for me to recall my favorite bad guy in the show.

I loved Dr Who! My favorite Dr Who was Tom Baker. My favorite villian--got to be The Master. Wish I had a Tardis, and K-9, too. I watched the show on PBS here (Louisiana Public Broadcasting). I liked Blake's 7 and Red Dwarf also. Got my kids hooked on them, too.
Some years ago there was a show (British in origin) about a woman who was married to a man 16 or 17 years younger than she. Dang it, I cannot remember the name. It went off the air here before the series ended. She was pregnant and soon to give birth. I never did learn the outcome.

Yes, I remember the TV movie. Sylvester McCoy passed on, and Eric Roberts took over. The movie was not that great--not nearly as much "fun" as the TV series.

(smiling now as I remember something else) I knitted my son a scarf, and it was about as long as Tom Baker's. My son would wear it only at home. Dr Who was not his personal favorite. He has Arnold Rimmer (from Red Dwarf) as a screen saver...

They re-run it on PBS here but I've never gotten into it.

On a related subject, there used to be a show from England on a channel here called Nickelodian almost 20 years ago called the Tomorrow Kids or Tomorrow People.

These kids were psychic and had to fight alien invaders like giant bubbles that possessed people and large alien heystack like creatures that would mow people down. It really freaked me out as a kid but I'd love to check it out again.

Anyone know what the hell Im talking about?

some of my faves were "The Five Doctors" and the mini-series like
"Trial of a Time Lord".
my mom knitted me the multi-colour scarf.
a while back, i received a key for a TARDIS at movie premier.
