Rozie 12-01-2007, 01:12 PM Marcy's last thread brought to mind another question for those of you involved in game relationships. For those who don't play, let me explain that these worlds are really societies with leaders and followers, teachers and students, economies, so it stands to reason that some players are extremely attractive characters. My YM was absolutely gallant in game, and because he is amazingly intelligent, he attracted a lot of attention from some needy damsels. I, on the other hand, didn't want to be needy, but I truly did suck! So I was a needy damsel by default. It really was awesome to have this hero sheltering me...I didn't get too much of that in RL. Then we meet and know what? He's a hero to his friends, a really standup, reliable guy...a leader. Did I get lucky or what?
Anyway, here's the point of this thread...How many of you ended up being drawn to your guild leaders? And once you met was he as gallant and sweet in RL as he was online? Is your geek a hero/your hero a geek?

Well Dev wasn't a guildleader when we met, but he is a hero and he is a hardcore geek. Hehe I'm wearing his geek inside t-shirt right now :bgrin2:
cuteguy37048 12-01-2007, 04:31 PM Well K I can't really classify as a geek. However she is a double Major graduate and I love how smart she is, she makes things very fun and interesting.
She wasn't a Clan leader, I actually was. But I already know I have a charm of my own. :)
I'm generally the jovial one of our clan. I have a small following in and outside of the clan as a result.
Angel 12-01-2007, 04:47 PM Well he definitely didn't win me over with his clan/guild leading skills. :D
I was a guild leader of a pretty large guild on Everquest with approx. 200 unique members split between a low level and high level guild.
His guild had 4 members and he still wasn't a leader! :p
So definitely a no there for us. But he's a show-off. He likes people to be impressed with how good he games and his buddy on WoW was listed as one of the top players of all time, if that gives you a hint to the caliber of people he likes to run with (definitely way above my skill level).
He's loyal to his guild and good to a person in rare need (and I emphasize this point since people can time suck an MMORPG by being lazy). He will not help any one that he thinks is lazy, or pushy, or desperate. It's a major turn-off to him and in those instances he'll be anything but helpful.
cuteguy37048 12-01-2007, 05:08 PM Yeah
Our Top Hat dissimilar flight school isn't mandatory. However I remain our most advanced Air Superiority Fighter Pilot outside of K herself (She's a Aeronatical Engineer, kinna hard to beat that :) ). I roll through about 9 different Dogfighting maneuvers to warm up.
I'm a lower level leader but I'm still very important in the clan. We have ranks but generally we don't enforce them much. It's more of a Militia type of environment in that sense.
We vote on our head leader, I can be nominated as I am pretty far up on the Chain of Command (which we don't enforce much either) though.

Lol...and you are charmingly modest too...right? ;)

That hero stuff is hardcore hot, don't ya think? :o

I have to say that although my YM was a fabulous, generous leader, he was sort of from the same mindset, which is probably why I ended up with him and not someone else. Wasn't there to hookup and I had to work my butt off just to keep up, and because of that, I always had more gil than anyone else until a few of the guys started to buy from real money traders so they could get elite gear.

It is awfully hard to resist someone (even if he's not overtly attempting to be resisted LOL!) who is sweet, kind, and also so good at somethings that he's recognized by all of the other players as TEH guy.

The nerd version of the High School QB. :)
As for me and K I don't think that had any factor even though I had earned an "Ace Name" (The Ace of Shadows) due to my intelligence work against another squad.

I didn't meet Shin on game......it was online, but not on a game. He taught me how to play.....
I must say that when he was a guild leader, it was a turn on, to see him take charge, his kindness for the lower levels always taking time to help everyone, taking them on runs, protecting them, teaching them the how tos.........his kindness just shown through and that touched my heart.......
and my hero is a geek who is a hero........forever.
love

Exactly, CG.

Perfectly said, Sora.
grumpysgirl 12-07-2007, 12:44 AM Kai has a balding red headed UGLY warlock Gnome named grumpyrandle...If you have not seen The World of Warcraft Gnomes dance well WATCH THIS
http://youtube.com/watch?v=XqsDZjAs_UY
NOW as you can see the male gnome is pervy LOL
He would dance in front of me and blow kisses or come save me from Horde in PVP...He was a very cheeky flirty lovebug...yet macho when it came to battle...LOL
Here I was Druid..HEAL HEAL DOT DOT...stop dots bear form stealth ROFL
Mischief 12-27-2007, 03:40 AM Well my hero wasnt a guild leader. When i met him he was the off tank (those of you who play wow will understand that term) he then moved up to officer before our guild broke up
Since then he and I have started our own guild. We are co guild leaders of it but they tend to look more to him for guidance and decisions than me. I guess its a male thing (shrug)
LOL they come to me when they want him coaxed into doing something they arent sure he will want to do. typical
But yes he is kind and gentle and people respect and love him. And yes there are a few damsels that take a liking to him and give him the puppy dog devotion. but it doesnt really phase me. We have bigger issues to deal with and silly jealousies dont fit the picture right now :tongue2:
Jo-Admin 12-29-2007, 03:44 PM GG...the little dance thing..is that what you actually see on the screen, when he would come dance in front of you?
I know, I know, I don't know crud about this stuff...just trying to learn here. :)
