Went to see this movie over the weekend and i couldnt stop laughing. This is a great fun movie even though the critics dont like it. Steve Martin did a good job playing a stuffed lawyer and Queen Latifah was the bomb.. There were so many hilarious moments in the movie.... I would recommend this to anyone.

Oh yeah...this was a funny funny movie!! My daughter and I went last night and I laughed the whole time!!! Steve Martin even danced like his "wild and crazy guy" from SNL lol :) but then Queen Latifah "showed him the way"!!!!!

Hey red mnm - you forgot a VERY important part. Jean Smart (who played Steve Martin's ex-wife) was going out with a hunky young man!!!! Way younger lol ;)

Oops I did forget that one important part.... But its sad that it didnt work out between the two of them... It was hilarious when Steve Martin finds out that she (Jean Smart) is going out with the kid that used to be his caddy...... very funny....

I liked "Bringing Down the House" because it was funny in a very intelligent way. It dealt with racial issues in a very balanced way (that is, both African Americans and European Americans could learn a lot from it and get a good laugh).

This movie was cast very well. I don't think there are many other actors who could pull off Steve Martin's role.

And yes, Jean Smart was great in it too. Maybe the Hollywood directors could make a similar movie in which you have an OW and a YM meet online and not know who each other really is until they meet in person.

Capt. Why did it suck?

My friend referred to it as evenly divided stererotypes.

Queen Latifiah is great. Steve Martin was not at his best.

but yeah that younger man thing cracked me up. oh I just saw it that's why I'm posting now.
