The brothers Andrew & Martin Lindsay of Thornhill, Ontario, Canada, have been assembling a computer controlled Christmas light display since the year 2000. Each year the display has gotten bigger and better. Several imitators have cropped up, which they say is the greatest form of flattery.

Their web site is Lindsay Lights .com (http://www.lindsaylights.com)

Here is the 2006 display: Lindsay Lights 2006 Christmas Display (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7zAtUWTslk&eurl=http://www.lindsaylights.com/Videos/2006_Videos/2006_All_sequences_fixed_camera.html)

Be sure to click on the "full screen" icon in the lower right corner of the You Tube screen.

The 2007 display will be unveiled Saturday night, December 8, 2007. I'll post the link to that display then. Until then, enjoy last year's display.

Happy Holidays, George

Wow!

That reminds me: I need to plug in my 3 foot tall, $39.95, pre-lit imitation tree.

Going to see a light display is a tradition for us. But I've never been to one set to music. I love it.

Ontario is within driving distance to me too! So maybe I'll make plans to head there next year!

Last year I went to a local one with my sister and sat by the bonfire they had. We sipped chocolate cocoa while my daughter (4 months at the time) slept under a blanket on her. My fiance, my niece, and my kids rode by us in a horse drawn wagon waving to us smiling as we waved back.

And it sticks in my mind because it reminded me of something you'd see in some cheesy commercial or magazine and I realized how fortunate I was to actually live that moment and not just read about it.

I had forgotten about that really good memory. Thanks for making me remember it. :o

Now if I could just get over this twinge of guilt I'm feeling at that family putting 70,000 lights up and I can't manage to put up a Christmas tree with 250 lights. :D
