Celtish 12-09-2007, 01:48 PM I left AL a while back, largely because there were a few things going on that I could see would not end well. Had I stayed I knew I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut, and subsequently would have ended up getting, at best, modded, and at worst, kicked entirely.
Regardless, I am back, more or less, and would love to hear how everyone is doing. Some I know, some I don't. For myself, I'm still working at EA, still love it, though RockBand is severely kicking my butt right now.*
Hope all is well with everyone.
*For those of you with the game and a broken guitar, I'm sorry. I think that effectively covers it.

LOL
I was thinking you might say, "Not this year!" 2010, huh? Well, if some people are right, the good news is that the world is going to end on 12/12/2012, so we always have that to look forward to.
:p

You know how we have times where it seems like everyone is getting along and Ageless is a really terrific, supportive, caring, fun place to come to? Well, this isn't one of those times.
BUT IT WILL PASS! It always does.

You know what's funny? I HATE when people complain about the other members, how awful this site is, etc. etc. etc. Hate it. But when it goes on and on, post after post, it's like I "catch" the complaining bug! Along with countless others, I may need a break. :o

Good to see you here again!
Ditto. ;)
I'd hug you but I saw that little guitar comment and thought...maybe I'll wait until I pick up RockBand. :D
grumpysgirl 12-10-2007, 02:18 AM LOL angel on southpark they are playing that rockstar game that is on xbox 360 LOL
Jo-Admin 12-10-2007, 02:45 AM Well, we've had a rough period here lately, but it will pass as it always does. MOST of it has been dealt with, and I think we are in the healing phase.
I don't have Rock Band, but I want it! We have Guitar Hero III, and I must say, I just pretty darn good at it. Finally, something I can beat my kids playing! Rock on, Mommy!
Glad to see you back, glad to hear everything is going well...I don't enjoy beets, so I won't beg you for a bowl. :) But thanks for offering!
Angel 12-10-2007, 02:54 AM I got the kids RockBand and Guitar Hero III (they had a 2 guitar pack on sale for Black Friday).
I'm sure it will be nuts in my house on Xmas day. I may need to ask Santa for some earplugs!
Jo, what's your favorite song on it? Have you tried the Dragonforce song?
LOL, GG! (Everytime I put your handle initials I want to follow it with an 'all' so it says 'GG all' :D ...gamers term to anyone wondering...huh?)
Jo-Admin 12-10-2007, 02:58 AM Angel..you may have to invest in those ear plugs. I have three children at home who play the Guitar Hero games, and Im sick to death of hearing the same songs over and over. I never much enjoyed the song Slow Ride in the first place, and to hear it over and over is like torture.
Then of course, I bet they are sick to death of hearing me attempt to play Metallica "One". For some reason I just cannot play the end of that song...and it drives me NUTS.
Silly game took up entirely too much of my time when we first got it. I had tried the demo and really liked it, and James bought it for me as a little surprise gift. :)

Welcome Back
Chatterbox 12-10-2007, 08:08 AM EARPLUGS!!!! I am a huge fan of earplugs! First, they saved me from killing my neighbor during the last power outage when he put his unbelievably loud generator as close to my window as possible, because he, of course, wanted it as far from HIS window as possible; they saved me from wasting hundreds of dollars on a concert ticket when the music was so loud that I couldn't even stay in the auditorium and got me back down to the front and center and boogeying; they saved my head from aching from jet noises while flying; they save my sanity from a loud humming noise (source unknown) coming from somewhere else in my building .... the list goes on.
EARPLUGS! YEAH!!! I love them.
Lovaholic 12-10-2007, 10:58 AM I think it's about as safe as this crazy place can be. Welcome back Celt!
