Snow day!

We're having a snow day today! As I sit typing, I can see HUGE flakes the size of silver dollars wafting by my window. The kids are in heaven (no school) and all I can think is - man, I have to go grocery shopping in this mess! :p

But at least we don't have the horrible ice storms that others are suffering. I heard one place has thousands upon thousands in shelters because they have no power from the storm!! :(

We had a storm here..no power for about 6 hours..BUT not weeks EEK

We got dumped on yesterday reallllllllllll good! up to my calves in snow hehe

We were supposed to have an ice storm here. The weather reporters had me all scared and over prepared. It's raining here so far.

School was cancelled here today too, so the kids are just lounging around.

I wish I wasn't so break from James being off work. I would take them all out for pizza and a movie! :)

I guess a lot of people in Kansas had it a lot worse than we have it...apparently a lot of them lost power and also in Oklahoma. Lots of prayers to those people....

I could not believe how warm it got here yesterday. It was 71 -- in the middle of December!! Today it'll be in the 50's and then down in the 30's by the weekend. But, 70 degree weather is unheard of where I live in December.

I am really envying the folks in the warmth right now.. Cold up here.. staying around 0-10 now... or colder.. But happy thought it is supposed to get warmer today like 21.. will feel like a heat wave!!

There actually was a big ice storm, but fortunately it just didn't get the city I live in. It just skimmed us.

It's still cold as all get out..but it is December so I can't really complain...too much!

I like snow, and I don't even mind the cold, I just hate ice. Scared to drive on it, scared to let my kids drive on it, scared to step on my back deck for fear of falling and breaking my.....leg or whatever! lol

The fun part of the ice is when I let my little dog out to potty. He's a hyper little thing..and when he runs all over the back deck in the ice it's too funny watching him try to gain footing. He does the same thing on my hardwood floor in the living room.

Okay, it may be kind of pathetic that I find watching my shih tzu slide around good entertainment.
