How often do you and your S/O talk on the phone/voice chat?

Just an informal poll here to see how often we all communicate verbally with our long distance loves.

Bob and I talk on the phone every other day for about 2-3 hours each phone call.

on the days we don't talk, we'll send e-mails and messages to each other.

This is a great question, because I think its so different for everyone. Chris and I started out 2-3 days a week for about 10 minutes... That lasted the first 9 months or so... Then we stepped it up to 4-5 days a week for maybe 15 to 20 minutes. Now we are at 6-7 days a week anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 or 40 minutes.

We are unique in that we are both super super busy and we both HATE talking on the phone. No cams, very text messages, few emails. I would say we are atypical in that sense, but I think we didn't need any reassurance and we had way too much to do to spend so much time on the phone. We have always totally trusted each other, if that makes sense. The whole thing has been a natural progression... but now we are SO ready to be together!!!

My situation is a bit different, since I've already made the "move" that's going to be made at the moment. I see him on the weekends, and during the week, it's probably about 30 minutes average chatting over MSN. I LOVE the phone, he hates it. So, that's where we're at.

I voted 3 times a week.

However at present I am royally pissed at my bf because he stood me up twice. :mad::mad::mad:

I have decided that the best thing I forget about him and ignore him for the rest of the month until he comes back.

we use skype one or two times per week, about 2-3 hours each chat. otherwise, it's text messages or email.

Haven't seen that one, but over on Kingdomfighter kumdo, we have a smiley that beats things with a sword!:bgrin2:

Anyhow, I voted 1-2 times a week. I call her way more than that, but in terms of actually talking to her (answering machines don't count), it's 1-2 times a week. Milady is really not much of a phone person anyway and as of late, she's been very busy in her life. I'm hoping that things will calm down so that we can both talk with and see eachother more.

we have -some- kind of contact everyday via webcam, phone text, phone call, or IM. IM has been working pretty well the last couple of weeks, as I've gotten on while at work and he does the same (my afternoon, his morning).

We aren't necessarily able to actually have conversations, but we both very much like being -connected- and sending each other little messages. We set aside a time and day, once a week, to webcam.

when we were LD, after the first meeting, it was instant messaging every day which then turned into phone calls for hours.

I have some sort of contact with Nate every day. He is currently in Louisiana and I live in Los Angeles. We chat daily or leave messages for each other on Yahoo messenger. Occasionally we may go for up to 3 days without a phone convo, but it's normally about 5 times a week or so.

We were friends first and it didn't just catch fire....it exploded! I can hardly wait to hug and kiss him in person! :bunny_4:

Well, me and Nat talk on voice chat every day, and often on phone too^^ And mostly we talk about 3-4 hours a day, in addition to me often calling her while she's walking to work^^
So yeah, we get to have a lot of contact ^_^
