Carl Sagan's Cosmos (http://science.discovery.com/convergence/cosmos/cosmos.html) is going to be airing on Discovery Science starting January 8th. If you haven't seen it you ought to, and if you have seen it before it's a great one to see again.


This video is actually from A Pale Blue Dot (well, Sagan's words are anyways) rather than Cosmos, but it's one of my favorite things he's written. I've got a poster with this quote (starting with "Look again at that dot") and the accompanying picture on my dining room wall. It's a good thing to be reminded of.

Great show. I watched it 20 years ago with my dad and again several months ago with Jeremy. Sagan was a man ahead of his time!
