Bob's babydoll 12-29-2007, 10:27 PM Holy crap...finally! Yep, I'm typing this from Bob's computer I am happy to say! :)
Jeeze, it took awhile getting here!
Lets see.. we started planning this in September for us to be together for good starting around Halloween...
then his truck had to have repairs...
then my operation...
then bad weather prevented him from driving out to me...
and bad weather once again prevented me from flying out to him (I was supposed to be here yesterday, but my flight was cancelled.)
Thankfully I was able to get another flight out today and although it was delayed about 40 mintues... I finally made it! :yay:
It feels kind of strange knowing this won't be a "visit" for me. There are those mixed emotions of being so happy to be with Bob, missing my family knowing I won't be seeing them on a regular basis at least for now, and also a bit anxious of how Bob and I are going to handle being together all the time. I'm sure we'll be fine. I know it isn't going to be like a romance novel 24/7. It's not going to be perfect, but I think we'll be fine. No matter what, I always have peace in my heart. :)
zoliepup 12-30-2007, 01:22 AM Congratulations!!! I'm looking forward to that day someday soon :D
Enjoy!!! All the sweeter because it was so hard to make it happen... It won't be perfect but it will be everday-real!
Rozie 12-30-2007, 03:53 AM :yay::yay::yay:
I couldn't be more happy for you!! I'm sure you will have no problem being together. Its so fun to read about the end of another LDR!!
goodchild 12-30-2007, 04:24 AM About time! You have been apart long enough. It must feel great to be with your OM every night. That's the nicest part about living together after being apart for so long. It's been 19 months and I still relish the idea that every night I get to snuggle up with my honey.:D
joelstrouble 12-30-2007, 05:26 AM I'm so happy for you!!!!

whiterose 12-30-2007, 10:23 AM Congratulations to you both! I wish you all the happiness you deserve!
Bob's babydoll 12-30-2007, 04:37 PM thanks, everyone for your warm wishes. :)
ok...now that we're together...next step is that engagement ring..*winks*. I've decided I'm not going to worry about it. I love him, he loves me, we are faithful and committed to each other and treat each other well and that is the most important thing to me. I've seen enough "legal" marriages to know that piece of paper is worthless if there isn't love in your heart. It will happen someday for us...but for now I'm happy. :)
Yay! this is my 1000th post! :yay:
Lily42 12-30-2007, 05:36 PM Yipppeee!!! I think you all deserve the best.. :pianodance::yay:

I'll tell you what I tell everyone who makes the move to be with a loved one....that I know from experience.....
The first year is the hardest. But it does get easier. :D
Nadine.
suicideblonde 12-30-2007, 08:42 PM I am sure all the things that happened made it seem like you were never going to actually make it, but you "weathered the storm" (pardon the semi-punpun :D) and now it is an actuality.
I wish you all the best, and keep in mind your family is just a phone call away!
Regards to you both!
springwind 01-08-2008, 06:40 AM I know this is late but this makes me:D and :yay::runnningaround::yay:

I remember how good it feels. :)
Bob's babydoll 01-08-2008, 09:24 PM thanks again, everyone. :)
I've been in Wisconsin for 11 days now, which is a few days shy of my longest visit with him (about 2 weeks).
I have to admit I cried the first few nights, thinking about my family, espically my nephew and niece but I'm getting better as each day passes. I talk on the phone with my family alot and when I talk to my nephew he's not crying for me, thank God. Knowing that they're doing ok without me lifts a huge weight off my shoulders.
Bob and I are driving back to Pittsburgh for a few days in a couple weeks. After that we'll probably not be back out there until Easter.
Kristin 01-09-2008, 12:20 AM How do you like this warm weather though? 60 degrees in January!! LOL!
Sorry you're missing your hometown & family - but they're still there to go visit, right?
Welcome to Wisconsin! :)
