hello. im sure everyone has been in this situation before? im just curious. beacuse in my culture, a kiss on the woman's lips means the start of a relationship in general terms.
so i have 2 question to ask:
1. when a man kisses a woman, what does it mean, although he says that the relationship wont work out?
2. in your culture, what does a kiss on the lips mean?

In our culture, (U.S.) a kiss on the lips between a man and a woman can be a romantic gesture or merely a friendly one. I think the difference is, is it just a quick peck on the lips, or a passionate, lingering kiss? That will give you the man's intentions.
Kissing on the lips does not signal the start of a relationship necessarily, but typically indicates a romantic interest. I hope this helps you.

well it wasnt really for me. im just interested as to what a kiss means in your culture. cos in my culture, it is that conservative.
I think it means he wants to get it on. He's interested. A little peck leads to a bigger peck.

I won't kiss a person on the lips unless I am romantically interested. Unless the person is family (some famililes or close friends kiss on the lips) but it also depends on the context of the kiss. Are the people close friends, or are they having some romantic feelings? I was kissed recently, it was just a peck, but I know it was MORE than a FRIENDLY peck since we've had this flirtatious thing going for months and in the context leading up to the kiss it was him basically saying the reason he kissed the corner of my mouth before and not my lips was b/c he missed. Therefore, in the context like that it was meant as a romantic gesture, or a testing of the waters building towards something. But every culture is different, and I'm american, so we have such a blend of heritages and races that who knows specifically where it came from, it's what's socially acceptable to the people YOU associate with.
