Angel 01-08-2008, 12:13 PM Since Xmas my fiance has became a sort of legend in the house playing the drums from Rockband, at least in his own mind. :p
But as a side effect, our daughter has taken to playing with the drumsticks. At first it was cute to see her imitate daddy until she went from smacking the drum kit to smacking everything and everyone in the house within her little arms reach. We can't pry these drumsticks out of her hand or distract her long enough to forget them for one entire day. Eventually she realizes she doesn't have them and begins searching them out (which is very funny to watch how ingenious she really is).
All day long my TV isn't showing Barney or The Wiggles, it's endless songs from Rockband (practice mode so she doesn't fail) blaring over the *bam bam bam* sound of Aña randomly pounding the heck out of the pads or the dog or my chair or computer monitor!
I think we may need to buy her those drum kits for kids (you know the wee little beginner ones) to get her off of Rockband so one of us could play again. One like this:

And all I can think is that it's truly amazing where one game can carry a person, isn't it? Not just her but look at me and her dad. Who would've ever thought that gaming, what I love to do so much, could be such a positive force in my house.
My kid. Possibly a mini drummer in creation. Or at least able to weild a stick and beat us into submission.
16 months folks. And already ready to rule the world. :D

Angel 01-08-2008, 05:29 PM Okay the quality is really poor but here you go Sora. No bandana (I will find one and get a picture of her because I think that would be very funny).
Rockin' Doodles (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdSQqQF56JE)
You can even hear my son call out "When do I add the onions" in the background (we were cooking chili for dinner).
I apologize for the video quality. We couldn't put the light on because she kept staring at the camera and not playing. :D
Alara 01-08-2008, 07:00 PM Angel,
That was great! So cute!
entropyembrace 01-08-2008, 07:11 PM She's adorable :bgrin2:
definitely recommend a kid sized kit, real drums can be very satisfying to play, just be prepared...they are loud!

Next Rikki Rockett?
zoliepup 01-08-2008, 09:07 PM I'm surprised at how focused and controlled that little Aņa is!!! I think you have a little prodigy on your hands... Oh and by the way, she is the CUTEST kid (and you know I don't say that about every kid, or I'd be saying it all stinking day every day!)
Rozie 01-08-2008, 10:25 PM That was great!!:happy0188:
lol, those sticks are bigger than her!
joelstrouble 01-09-2008, 02:09 PM awww, she is so adorable!!!

Haraio 01-10-2008, 03:32 PM Oh my gawd, she is so adorable!^^
Can I have her? lol :bgrin2:
Naw, me and Nat should make our own *grin*
Now, where did Nat go?^^
:tongue2:
Oh, and I tried posting a comment too, but it seems like it doesn't work O.o;;
christina923 01-10-2008, 04:17 PM *big grin*
that was adorable!!!
Angel 01-12-2008, 08:20 AM I don't know what I did wrong with the comments part. I'll have to go check it out. O.o
I'm a big supporter of couples making their own Haraio so you and Nat have my blessings! :tongue2:
Thank you for all the kind words and Aña loves having groupies. She loves attention and would give you hugs and smiles for it.
I'll have to try and make one where you can see her face.
Yesterday was a very big day for us. She said her first intentional word, "Hi". We almost fell over because it was so unexpected. So now she goes around waving and saying "hi" to everyone. I wondered what word she would pick first since we're raising her to be bilingual.
She's growing up too fast already!
whiterose 01-12-2008, 08:31 AM Awwwwwww, she's so adorable, Angel! She really did sway in beat to the music. She's got great rhythm already!
Haraio 01-12-2008, 03:39 PM Aww, she said her first word already?^^
That's so cute!^^ Waving and saying hi to everyone? Reminds me of myself when someone is around Nat on the webcam :bgrin2:
Just out of curiousity, which two languages are you teaching her, since you're saying you are teaching her to be bilangual?^^
OMG!!! She is so cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
*pats Håkon* sure we make our own darling ^_~
reminds me of my youngest daughter...her first word when she was 4 yrs old is 'Kakak' means elder sister
Thank you Angel for the blessing! :)
*pokes Håkon* You always waves to everyone *chuckles*
Angel 01-12-2008, 09:19 PM Just out of curiousity, which two languages are you teaching her, since you're saying you are teaching her to be bilangual?^^
Spanish and English. My fiance is Mexican and I'm...well...I'm a bit of a few things!
Angel 01-13-2008, 01:19 PM Thanks for the compliments! She loves to sing and dance and ham up to the camera (sounds like most kids)!
I can't figure out why I can't get the comments to work. I want to be able to control what posts (that way her link doesn't get spammed with porn etc. stuff). It says you can choose to post the comments after you approve them, and I approved Haraio's but no one else's showed up.
Continuing on her addiction of RockBand with the family now she has taken to imitating her brother, Darrell, who is the resident singer of the family.
So, by popular demand (her Grandmother, lol) I went ahead and made a second video of her so that her "gammies" could see and hear her singing (aka babytalking). She's not singing to any music; she's free-flowing. :D
Around the 40 second mark you'll hear her say Doodlebug, which is her nickname. She says it a few more times after that but it's the most clear around that marker in the video.
I apologize in advance about the video quality. These videos are filmed on our picture camera which has a video record feature but it's quality is limited since it's not a camcorder.

Haraio 01-13-2008, 03:48 PM Again, oh my gawd! She is so damn adorable! Please Angel, can I have her? ^_~ I was wondering, how old is she? Cause she is standing very well and she's a good singer (better than Britney lol :tongue2:), so I imagine she is, what, 3 or 4 years old? I might be wrong though ^_^
Damn it, now I want my own even more than before!!! Damn you Angel, now I can't wait to get my own little girl :bgrin2:
Angel 01-13-2008, 05:23 PM Aww, thank you so much. Well at least I have motivated you even more to bring Dayani to life with Hao. ;)
She's 16 months old, so about 1 1/2 years old.
jesique 01-18-2008, 09:38 PM That is the cutest thing I've seen all day!!! :D I watched both and she is just sooo adorable!!!

Jo-Admin 02-11-2008, 04:09 AM I know this thread has been around a while, but I didn't comment on it!
