Idiocracy

I just watch the DVD, I loved it, it seems very possible, as a matter of fact this version of the future is happening right now. Light comedy with a message.

Only negatives: Not only intellectual people have high IQ, not everybody with high IQ is a productive member of society. An idiocracy world is not necesarily a hybrid between a Mexican barrio and inner city.

This movie is both scary and great. As I watch the news plastered with Brittney Spears, Paris Hilton...even the people running for government office I can totally imagine this as the future of our country.

I thought elements of this movie were great too! And other elements not so much, like Sheila said.

Ditto on what everyone said. You kind of have to "get" this movie though. My kids didn't really see the humor and Jeremy couldn't bother to watch it. :rolleyes:

My bf got it. But in general I suppose you can get it better when you are older and you have seen decade after decade how instead of striving to better society, we are accomodating society to the minimum denominator. The rudest, least responsible, least productive set the standard for everybody else both in school and work.
