Please Read - Age gap relationships

I am currently doing some background research into age gap relationships particularly those where people are with or looking for partners 30 years+ older than themselves.

My intention is to produce a sensitive and supportive piece which could spread understanding about age-gap relationships.

The project is in its very early stages and as part of my research, I am interested in talking with people who are either in relationships, or looking for a partner (casual or long-term) where there is a significant (30yrs+) age gap. Any conversations at this stage would be completely anonymous and in total confidence and would not commit anyone to taking part in the finished piece in any way.

I am really interested to hear what you would like to see in any finished piece. What do you think are the important issues? Why do you find an age gap relationship appealing? Do you feel that age-gap relationships are misunderstood or even stigmatized by the general public? What do you think could be done to make people understand them better?

Did you obtain permission from the forum owners/administrators to post your inquiries? Have the administrators verified your credentials or that your research is legitimate? Did they even know what you were up to when you joined the community?

If not, I'm not comfortable with your presence here.

I own a forums myself. When people have posted inquiries in my forums without my permission, I have deleted the post, blocked their IP address and emailed them with instructions to contact me before using my forum for their inquiries. It is the respectful thing to do, and allows the owners of a forum to insure the safety of their members.

So the other members understand where I'm coming from; when I have done that to inquirers in my forums, they have never contacted me as instructed, I never hear from them. This has lead me to believe their intentions were not legitimate.

There is a lot of fraud on the internet.

As I posted on this thread in OW/YM Chit Chat, we have periodically been contacted by various magazines, newspapers, etc. asking for information about AGRs. Participating in these interviews can be a good way to get the word out about the real truth about AGRs and dispell some myths.

I think i'm living on a different time zome to alot of you so apologies if my responses are slightly delayed.

The company I am working for is www.walkergeorgefilms.co.uk.
I understand fully the concerns around anything to do with the media. I can only assure you that we are a small, friendly company who choose to take on sensitive subject areas where we feel that there is ill education and misplaced stigma. We have won many awards for our insightful and thoughtful approach and through our work have even helped to change laws in this country.

Documentary productions include the award-winning ‘Young@Heart’ about a pensioners chorus who sing rock and roll; ‘Silver Surfers’ a documentary about older people looking for love online and ‘George Melly’s Last Stand’ about the jazz showman’s last months. Currently in production is a programme on xvetodkdas which again highlights our ability to tackle sensitive subjects and bring understanding to subjects on which others merely pass judgment.

On the 24th January we have a documentary being shown at 9pm on channel 4 here in the UK called, ‘A Boy named Alex’ which is about a musical prodigy with cystic fibrosis. As with the majority of our work it has arrived to huge critical acclaim.

I hope that this provides a little more background information about me.
