Lost a friend

Hi...

I just need to share. John called me and told me that one of our friends overdosed on pills last night. Please send loving healing energy to my dear sweet angel Kelly....and her only daughter Mac (13) who is now an orphan. Damn! She was sober from booze, but couldn't get off the meds and pills and meds and pills She was 40'ish, had red hair and was the sweetest little soul

Mac will never really be "without" her mom. Mom will always be there, watching over her, loving her, and supporting her.

Thanks everyone, it is very very sad, and while the shock has passed, the sadness is still present. A lot of Kelly's friends have very heavy hearts. John has known Kelly for near 20 years and she's been struggling with pills and different combos of pills for such a long time. She has been through several different groups of recovery, but just couldn't get 100% honest about being powerless over those damn pills. When one thinks one can outsmart a disease, well...that's just insane. Thank you for the thoughts and wonderful vibes for MacKenna her daughter. The girl has been through so much collateral damage.
The poem was also beautiful...

~~Kelly, sweetheart, it's safe now. You can really let go. Nothing will hurt you now, dear sweet sister...stay close to MacKenna, dear Angel-Mama. We know it was not a suicide. We know you would never ever leave your girl intentionally.
